Great location, comfortable, new but on the pricey side
We were looking for a nice getaway where we could take our small dog on relatively short notice. After reviewing a limited number of locations around the area that accepted pets we settled on this location. It's on the bay side, no views of anything from the unit, but it was new, comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay: Large island, fully equipped full-sized kitchen, a large shower with a fantastic waterfall head, TVs in the living and one bedroom, wifi, comfortable furniture, and simple but nicely appointed design. The patio is too small to really enjoy and backs up to a road that was busier than I thought it would, but it wasn't too bothersome. It's just a short walk to the yacht club where you can sit out on the two-level deck and watch the sun set, play some corn hole, air hockey, sit in small but kid-friendly pool, bbq or fish off the small docks. We were really there for the beach and it's less than a 5 minute drive to the north entrance to Whitecap beach. The property management was excellent with communication and answered any questions we had promptly. There is still construction ongoing in the building next door, but it didn't diminish our experience. The unit's daily price was reasonable, but by the time all the fees got added in, including a $100 Vrbo service charge that got added after we settled our original bill, we were at almost double what the stated price was. I'm not sure we'd do it again due to all the added fees, but if you're looking for a nice, comfortable, and convenient place with some nice amenities and don't mind paying a little extra I have no problem recommending it.
