- Port Aransas is constantly evolving with ongoing construction, building projects, and community improvements. While we can't guarantee a completely quiet stay, these efforts help make the area even better for residents and visitors alike. Keep in mind that island life comes with seasonal pests like mosquitoes. To help keep them at bay, our properties receive professional pest control treatments every month. Please be aware that because Port Aransas is a unique coastal community, cable and Wi-Fi connectivity might be unpredictable. Thank you for acknowledging that we have no control over these services. Service interruptions will not qualify for any discounts or reimbursements.

GUEST VERIFICATION:
To ensure a smooth and secure stay, we require the primary guest listed on the reservation to complete a simple screening process within 48 hours of booking confirmation. Please note that your reservation is not confirmed until these steps are completed.

Once verified, and prior to check-in, guests will be asked to sign a Rental Agreement that includes:
- Agreeing to our rental terms and conditions.
- Providing a valid government-issued ID and a matching credit card before check-in.
- Paying a non-refundable $55 damage waiver. The damage waiver provides coverage for accidental damage during your stay, as long as it is reported prior to your check-out.

The damage waiver covers accidental damage that may occur during your stay. To ensure coverage, all damage must be reported promptly while you’re still at the property. We understand there is normal wear and tear at houses but should anything accidentally break or get stained during your stay please just let us know. Thank you!

Great house and great location

House was great and about 8 min walk to beach . They have all beach chairs, boogie boards and pool floats, you need so you don’t have to pack . We loved the pool, although it did need to be cleaned and the lady came the first day but never came back to clean it like she said she was . So we needed up cleaning it as best we could. Have all things needed to grill and cook . But bring your own spices, salt and pepper! Overall we had an awesome stay and it fit 9 adults and 2 good perfectly! Thank you

Back to school trip

House was nice and roomy! The kids loved the pool in the back yard. Only thing we noticed off was that the house did have an odd smell to it not a terrible smell but almost like a potato peelings smell to it, strange I know! There was a note posted saying if AC gets set lower than 72 the unit is known to freeze up, we noticed the AC intake did not have a filter on it so a AC filter could possibly fix the unit freezing issue. Wonderful home, wonderful neighborhood. We brought our boat with us and though it was a tight squeeze we were able to fit our large boat and 2 large trucks, dodge 2500 and 3500 dually in the driveway along with our rented golf cart! The beach boardwalk was right around the corner making it about a 8 minute walk from the house to waters edge on the beach, takes no time at all to get to the beach in a golf cart.

Great house!

I gave all 5 stars due to this amazing house and all that it includes! Great location and super close to the boardwalk. We rented a golf cart and was able to take it on the boardwalk. The beds were all very comfortable and a perfect amount of space for 8 of us! The only negative was the pool was dirty when we arrived, but the quick response to have it cleaned was very much appreciated!! We love this house and hope to stay there again!

Coastal Thanksgiving

We recently stayed at the Gruene Escape for a family Thanksgiving. The property was absolutely lovely and so close to the beach! The house had everything we needed to cook a couple of elaborate meals. There was enough space that four adult family groups had their own space but we could all gather together if we wanted! We will be booking again!

Beautiful House!

This property was lovely! Clean, the pool was perfect for the kiddos and house was spacious enough for everyone to enjoy. A few small suggestions: 1) darker shades were needed on some of the bedroom windows. The lights from outside at night are really bright, making it difficult to have a nice dark room in which to sleep. 2) consider offering early check-in for a fee. We were called at 330 (check in is at 4) with check-in instructions. Obviously, we were very early which is on us…but if the house and clean long before 4, it’d be a relief to offer early check in (especially helpful for those with young kids). Ultimately, we’d stay here again and again! Perfect neighborhood and such a comfortable, cute house!

Wonderful Home

Great home! Stocked with all supplies needed in the kitchen. House was new and had very little visible concerns. Beds were comfortable and linens were a nice quality. Neighborhood was nice and the boardwalk to beach was great if you rented a golf cart! Overall, very pleased with the house.

The good and bad

Good location. Kitchen has good amount of supplies...pots, pans, dishes, utensils. Issues... trash was full, not picked up and fly ridden. I had to call and find out when trash pick up was. Needs to be taken to the street. Minimal towels..washed all week. Front bedroom on bottom floor is a full size bed with no storage or hangars. One couple lived out of suitcases the whole week. We had to clip towels on the windows to block out lights from the neighbors house across the street left on all night. Pool had sand and dirt in it when we arrived. Management company was responsive when I called but this should be on the checklist before someone checks in . I don’t want to spend my vacation time managing this when spending money on a rental. You need to leave check out cleaning instructions on the refrigerator.

My daughters and their families loved their stay

The house is basically new, so that is a plus. My daughters said that the beds are comfy, the kitchen very adequate, pool was clean, a/c good, plenty of bathrooms. They could have used a golf cart but delivery was not an option. They said they would stay there again. The only negative was the garbage cans being full and overloaded and had not been taken out for garbage pickup.

Nice House With Exception Of A Few Things

First of all, the house was very nice and having a private pool with kids was a big plus. The kitchen seemed well stock with the exception that we only had one kitchen towel and no real hot pads. It wasn't until the morning that we were leaving that I found a few more dish towels in the cabinet above the washer. Also I found several dirty dishes in the cabinets that I had to wash. I'm not sure if the cleaning crew didn't wait for the dishwasher to finish the cycle, but all the dinner plates were put up wet. I had to rinse them off and dry them before we could use them. The house could definitely use more bathroom towels. Having two bath towels and two hand towels in each bathroom doesn't seem like many when you advertise that it sleeps twelve people. We made it work and used the washer. I would definitely suggest putting in different window treatments in the bedrooms. The shades that were on the windows are see through, so no way to block the sun or the neighbors' outside lights that stayed on all day and all night, unless you hang a towel or sheet over them. Like I mentioned before, the private pool was a definite plus. The pool was pretty dirty and cloudy from sand and something else when we arrived. We had to add water to the pool because it was almost below the skimmer. The pool tech did show up on Friday (we arrived Wednesday) to clean the pool. Also, the fact that we could use one of the garage bays was nice. The trash cans were full from the previous renters and smelled really bad of old shrimp. Luckily I noticed that people had put their trash cans out the morning after we arrived so we set them out for pick up. It says in the rental agreement to set out the trash cans on the designated trash day, but no where does it tell you what day that is. There is a door on the downstairs floor to access the back yard and pool, however, you have to go through a bedroom to get to it. The door handle on that door was very loose and should be tightened. There is also access to the back yard from the upstairs deck, so most of the time we just went out that way so we wouldn't bother the ones sleeping in that room. It's a nice, quiet, laid back neighborhood. The house was in a nice location. We were close to the community pool (we didn't use) and also not far from the boardwalk. The rental agreement should be more specific on what you are supposed to do at check out and not so much on all the fees they charge.

Grandmas 65th birthday

Came to celebrate my mothers 65 birthday. Everyone loved the rooms and private restrooms, the space, the pool and fire pit. Having two, 4 year olds. Back door alarm was a huge safety bonus! This way we always knew when door to the pool was being opened. My mother was over the moon and loved the place!

Perfect Hangout!

We rented The Gruene Escape for our Beach to Bay weekend and it was amazing! We loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom for privacy. The little nook bed was perfect and made the only girl child feel so special! The location is great, just a short boardwalk away from the beach. The house was so clean and furnished well. The private pool and fire pit made the PERFECT hangout spot for the evenings. We will be back! Thanks for a great stay!!

Awesome stay!

This is a beautiful and very clean house. We loved staying here with our kids, pool was clean and great temp, rooms were nicely kept and spacious, and everything was in great condition. The beach is walking distance too. I highly recommend!
