A perfect week in a special place

Casa Sorbello was just what we were hoping for - a comfortable home in quiet, secluded surroundings with the added bonus of a generous swimming pool. The extensive views were unexpectedly glorious and we could have spent the whole time drinking in the environment if it hadn't been for all the many interesting places to visit. Our hosts were wonderfully welcoming and helpful whilst respecting our privacy. Thank you.

Nice house with small challenges

Nice house in Tuscany Style with amazing location on a mountain. Really great pool and generous space for 4-6 persons. Great area with many nice locations like Assissi, Pienza, Siena, Cortona etc. We would not book this house again because of too many horsefly insects at the Pool and mosquitos in the house. Also missing aircondition leads to too high temperature especially at nights. Really nice house with small deficits.

Fabulous view on the valley

Comfortable and well maintained house overviewing the entire valley. Lovely terras with grill. Large swimming pool reachable via stairs. Quiet location, about 10/15 minutes to the nearest grocery store and butcher. You definitely need a car. We would love to come back in future. Nice places to visit within max 1 hr drive are Perugia (30 min), Cortona (45 min), Gubbio ( 1 hr). Lake Transimeno only 35 min away. Warm welcome by Philip and Madeline both speeking perfectly English.

Handsome Property

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Sorbello. The house and grounds are clean and spacious. The pool is a joy and what appear to be new chaises lounges were fine. Madeleine, a woman living nearby, was friendly and generous. She supplied us with treasures from her organic garden. The vast valley view is spectacular. It took a little doing to find restaurants to our liking but we did.

Amazing views and tranquility

Ideal spot between Tuscany and Umbria to discover the region. Typical house with great swimming pool. Amazing views on the valley and the hills. It was very hot during our stay so as owner I would consider to install airconditioning, especially now summers are becoming hotter every year. Negative experience were the numerous mosquitos in the evening who prevented us from enjoying the beautiful stars in the sky. But in short, the house and surroundings met our expectations and we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Thank you!

The cottage is secluded in the woods, which is a major plus. Situated on a hill, it offers peace and a beautiful view of nature. However, it means you need to drive at least 10 minutes to reach the nearest shop or bakery. The house was well-equipped, with mosquito nets in all rooms, so we had no issues with insects. We did miss having parasols by the pool.We would recommend this vacation home, but not for families with small children like ours. The house is not suited for them, and the garden is not enclosed, posing a constant risk of falls. Despite informing our arrival time in advance, no one was there to welcome us (the key was in the door). Later, Madeleine came by to give a brief explanation. It was nice that she lived next door and occasionally dropped by (e.g., with tomatoes or to lend laundry detergent).

Bon séjour, belle maison et vraiment belle vue!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la maison et surtout la vue spectaculaire sur la vallée et les montagnes. Vue exceptionnel !! C'était très propre, bien rangé, agréable et tout était disponible pour nos besoins. Le seul hic cette année fut d'avoir pendant la journée, beaucoup beaucoup de gros moustiques qui attaquaient ( a cause des grosses pluies en Toscane en mai et juin) qui nous ont empêché de profiter de la piscine. Impossible de s'assoir sur les chaises ni même de se baigner longtemps. Ce qui nous a déçu car nous voulions nous reposer. Nous avons plutôt visité davantage. Ceci n'a pas été causé par le proprio (qui a même offert du chasse moustique - mais inutile) mais ca a quand même eu un effet sur nos vacances. J'imagine que dans les années précédentes, ce n'était pas un problème car jamais vu de commentaires sur ceci.

Ruhe und Entspannung mitten in der Natur.

Unser Urlaub in diesem schönen Haus fing im Dunkeln an. Daher fanden wir unsere Anreise, hoch in die Berge, erst einmal abenteuerlich. Im Hellen sah das schon wieder ganz anders aus, denn der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist einfach wunderschön. Die Lage des Hauses ist zwar abgelegen, aber wenn man Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, genau das Richtige! Auch wer ein wenig die Gegend fernab von den Touristenströmen erkunden möchte ist hier am richtigen Ort. Wir waren eine Woche in dem Haus, welches stimmig mit seinen Möbeln und Accessoires eingerichtet ist. Auch den großen tollen Pool, zur alleinigen Nutzung, haben wir sehr genossen. Es gibt einige sehr nette und leckere Restaurants und auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, die uns von Madeleine empfohlen wurden. Madeleine war immer zur Stelle, wenn wir Fragen hatten, Hilfe benötigten oder auch den ein oder anderen Kritikpunkt hatten (z.B. der Geschirrspüler reinigte das Geschirr nicht richtig) Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden diesen Ausblick hoffentlich lange in Erinnerung behalten. Beautiful views during comfortable stay!

We absolutely loved our stay! Hosted by Madeleine and her son Phillip who are both lovely and super helpful, this place is rural and quiet. The views are stunning and the house is well equipped and comfortable. It's a drive to the shops but so worth it for the peaceful location!

An excellent property : wonderful location - secluded and with magnificent views. Everything we needed was provided : and the lady who checked us in etc. couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Traumhafte Kulisse

Wir konnten hier eine wunderbare, intensive Familienzeit geniessen. Das Haus ist wie beschrieben, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, liegt sehr ruhig in den Bergen mit fantastischem Blick, den Pool haben wir auch am späten Abend sehr geniessen können, es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und mit wertvollen Tipps von Madeleine empfangen. Dankeschön! Sehr empfehlenswert sind z.B. Ausflüge nach Gubbio, Assisi oder ein Sonntagsbrunch (ab 12:30Uhr) im Le Capannine di Sommavilla mit sehr leckerem toskanischem Buffet, wandern und mountainbiken sind auch gut möglich. Herzlichen Dank für Alles! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Aufenthalt im Spät-Sommer

Der Empfang und die Ankunft verliefen reibungslos. Madleine hat uns freundlich empfangen. Die Unterkunft liegt abgelegen von der Hauptstraße in der Natur und hat trotzdem eine sehr moderne und stimmige Einrichtung (sehr gut ausgestatte Küche, Wohnzimmer etc.) Jeder Sonnenaufgang und untergang war einzigartig und war zum Staunen schön. Da wir nur zu zweit unterwegs waren hat uns das obere Bad vollkommen ausgereicht (Regendusche, großes Waschbecken) Alles in allem ein stimmiger Aufenthalt im Spät-Sommer bei maximal 25 Grad. Definitiv einen Besuch wert!

Een fijn verblijf in een mooie streek

Letterlijk alles is aanwezig om er een schitterend verblijf van te maken. Wij waren onder de indruk van het fantastische uitzicht. De villa heeft alle nodige comfort. Eventueel airco in de slaapkamer om de nachten wat aangenamer te maken. De tips van Madeleine, de zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw, waren zeer nuttig. De aanbevolen restaurants waren top, het bezoek aan het wijnhuis Berioli zeer leuk en lekker. Absoluut een topvakantie.

Dejligt hus med fortryllende udsigt

Vi har haft en fantastisk ferie i dette skønne hus. Huset er godt indrettet og alt har fungeret perfekt. Når vi havde brug for hjælp, så var Madeleine (husets ejers mor) altid til at træffe og alt blev hurtigt ordnet. Madeleine var også god til at anbefale restauranter og udflugter. Det mest fantastiske ved dette hus er de smukke omgivelser og udsigten fås ikke bedre. Poolen ligger skøn og man finder ro og velvære i sin ferie her. Vi kan anbefale dette hus, hvis man vil have en afslappende ferie i det smukke Italien.
