多尼戈尔郡的村舍

“Mullaghduff is NOT a thatched cottage despite the name and the pictures on the website. It may have been at one time but we were told the thatch burnt off several years ago. Now it has just a cheap tin roof. Not sure how much insulation that would provide in the winter as we were there in the summer. My sense is the owner doesn't visit much. While the interior is as shown in pictures and has its charm--more rural and rustic than modern, there were some issues, such as the shower in one of……

“Loved the remote location and cleanliness. House had everything we needed. We loved the sheep in the road and the twisty drive up to the house. Beautiful view out the front window. Had some wonderful fish dinners at Tara hotel in Killybegs. On the downside the mattresses were not comfortable for any of us. They were thin in the two big rooms and in the twin room it was old style and very bouncy. ”

“Excellent host, great communication. Cottage was beautifully decorated and spotless clean. Has more than you need. Everything is high quality. Appliances are good brands and all in good condition. Location is close enough to towns so there is plenty of good shops and restaurants yet the cottage is in a quiet natural environment. We woke up to birds singing. ”

“Fantastic location for visiting the Sliabh Liag cliffs. Walking distance to local pub, visitor center, and cafe. It’s a simple property but somewhere I’d consider staying again.”

“The cottage was absolutely beautiful, like something out of a fairy tale. It was in a gorgeous setting with beautiful views of pastures and rolling green hills. In the neighbouring paddock there were 2 donkeys that were very cute and of course sheep. It was perfectly fitted out with a modern kitchen and lovely sitting area with a huge fireplace. Spacious, comfy beds and even a washing machine which we found very helpful. All the unique homey touches were delightful and such a peaceful setting.……

“We had a lovely stay at this property! It is the perfect combination of a traditional home with all of the modern updates. We appreciated the details of the local art in the home as well as the full set of beautiful ceramic plates and bowls. The detail of the wooden door handles was especially fun :)We had some wonderful meals on the outdoor dining table with a view of sheep roaming the hills behind us.We were traveling with four adults and a baby and there was plenty of space in the living room……
