Large terrace with garden furniture. Allocated underground parking for 2 cars (lift access to ground floor). No smoking. Please note: No charging of electric vehicles.. Every inch the contemporary waterfront apartment, Solent View Apartment is found on the western side of Cowes Parade and the Royal Yacht Squadron. Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by the spacious, open plan kitchen, dining and living space, and we bet the first thing you’ll notice is that view across the Solent.



Sliding glass doors open out onto a large private terrace, ideal for al fresco dining, entertaining or just relaxing on a sun lounger and watch the sailing events like Cowes Week and the Round the Island Race.



When it’s time to head to bed after a busy day enjoying the lively resort of Cowes, you’ll find a welcoming kingsize Harrison bed in the master bedroom (can be made up as twin beds). Perfect for those leisurely lie ins while you decide how to spend your day, this bedroom has an en-suite shower room for a little extra privacy, complete with a Hansgrohe rainfall shower. The second bedroom can be configured to offer twin Harrison beds or one kingsize, so this apartment is perfect for a family break or an escape with friends.



This apartment is just a few minutes’ walk from the historic and vibrant town of Cowes and the ferry terminal. Cowes offers a variety of lively bars, restaurants and boutique shops on the doorstep, and Cowes Week is the oldest and most celebrated sailing regatta in the world with spectacular racing, fireworks and aerial displays.

We had a wonderful week staying at Solent View Apartment. We were met by Andor who was welcoming and gave us all the information we needed. It’s our second visit and we cannot wait to book again but it looks like October is the next time we could book, it’s very popular. The apartment has everything you could need and would recommend it for anyone looking to spend time in Cowes. It’s close to the shops. Some lovely walks along the beach.

This is a lovely apartment with magnificient views and the owner has not stinted on providing top end equipment, entertainment, beds, linen etc which makes it very comfortable. Having a mirror that runs the width of the living room gives the appearance of it being much larger and increases the light in the room which is a really good idea. There is plenty of hanging space in the bedrooms and a chest of drawers in the master. The beds are very large and comfortable but the space around them is quite limited, so you might need to do a bit of a shuffle to get to the far side. The bathrooms are well equipped and there are plenty of power sockets in the bedrooms and around the apartment. There are plenty of saucepans but no ovenproof dishes or serving dishes to put something in from the saucepans. There are very large salad serving bowls but nothing smaller or ovenproof. The shelves in the kitchen cupboard are also quite high so a bit awkward for shorter people, so perhaps something like a small step would be a good addition. The housekeeping team were extremely helpful, and immediately came over with a new key fob when we let them know ours wasn't working. A welcome pack of something like milk, bread, etc would have been nice although a few tea bags, coffee sachets were provided. I am not sure if this is the letting agencies policy but we have always found this to be really helpful when we rent, especially if you have had a long day travelling, the last thing you want is to have to go and try and find a local supermarket. Regarding location, if walking into Cowes it is up and down some quite steep hills so may not be suitable for some visitors, if you want to walk to town for a meal. However once you find it, the car park is quite central. We had a lovely week here just before Christmas and would return again. This is a very nice apartment that just needs a few tweaks to make it perfect and I would recommend it.

Overall we enjoyed our stay & would return again. As our arrival & departure times were changed to allow deep cleaning due to Covid we didn’t expect to find cobwebs in the living area & discarded items behind a chest when looking for a lost phone. The overhead lights in the bedroom didn’t work & nor did the extractor fan in the main bathroom. These problems are reflected in my ratings. Solent View is the best apartment we have stayed in, it is beautifully and comfortably furnished, extremely well maintained and everything provided is of high quality, the underground parking is a great bonus. We spent a wonderful week here, using the apartment as our base for exploring the Isle of Wight and became fascinated by all the cruise liners and cargo ships passing in front of the balcony on their way in and out of Southampton. We would definitely like to return.

It is very comfortable and having 2 bathrooms is a real asset. The kitchen is well equipped and we used it for a few meals. A fabulous apartment, we thought we had walked into a show home. Undoubtedly one of the best holiday rentals we have ever had. Perfect location, one of the most spectacular views in the IOW (so much going on) and binoculars provided! Short walk into Cowes or longer one to Gurnard. Equipped to a very high standard it is a home from home.

We had a fantastic time at Solent View. The view from the terrace was absolutely wonderful and its very engrossing watching the ships and boats sail past everyday! The apartment itself was very comfortable and we had all the amenities that we could ever wish for. It was the perfect base in wish to explore this beautiful island, I could not recommend it more!

This is a very well equiped appartment in a wonderful location with excelent views over the Solent where there is nearly always something going on, even if it is just the ferries. The only slight gripe we had was that the en-suite bathroom sink is very near to the bathroom cabinet and one can bang your head on it if you want to rinse your face but that is a very minor gripe.

Very enjoyable stay. Apartment is lovely, spacious and some good features. One tip I would have is that there are very little of the basics provided, which is no problem but would be good to know what does come with the apartment such as olive oil & dishwasher tablets so we could have brought some with us. Literally couldn't fault the apartment, everything you could ever need has been thought of and catered for. The beds are comfy, the kitchen well equipped, it was spotlessly clean and there are loads of gadgets to play with, we found Alexa particularly amusing, especially after a glass or two of wine. The view from the balcony is stunning and were lucky enough to see two large cruise ships sail out. Nice touch with the welcome pack, the wine was very well received. Overall a fantastic week away!
