“We booked a room for six but staff gave us two rooms, each for three. Luckily two rooms are transferable. Rooms are Spacious n warm. Stable Hot shower is very important in our winter journey.”

“Amazing, quite unique, hotel floating in the middle of a lake with snow capped mountains in the backdrop, picture perfect. BUT that's it. There's really nothing else to do here, as you rely on food SOLEly provided by the hotel and there's no other external sources for food being so remote and the portions are small so pack some snacks, instant noodles. Aims for some fine dining vibe, but the quality is sub-par, may be due to meals being included in the price. The food alone would convince you……

“A basic room, but very clean and maintained. However, there was a problem with the shower having no facilities for putting in shampoo, soap, etc., and only one cake of soap was provided for a two-night stay. Also, we booked and paid for a deluxe, downstairs room, but were upstairs, which made it very difficult for my wife, who has mobility problems. The stairwell closest to the restaurant did not have a working light, which was a problem once the night arrived”

“The Hillside Tiny House is situated in a beautiful location with Mt Rolland and undulating green valleys as its backdrop. Simon and Eileen, the hosts, were very accommodating and responsive to our needs. We were provided with fresh eggs from their hens. The Tiny House is spotless and comfortable. The location is central to local attractions such as Cradle Mountain, Burnie, Davenport as well as food trails such as Ashgrove Dairy and Christmas Berry Farm. Very happy with our choice of……

“We stayed in the Ironstone room, which was large, homely and had a great view of Cradle Mountain. It was easy to check in and very friendly staff. We booked the tomahawk steak dinner and it did not disappoint! The light breakfast consists of Muesli and yoghurt which was also a nice start to the day. We would highly recommend staying here and wish we had longer!”
