“The property and location were lovely. We were welcomed by the owner of the property. Everything was prepared and clean. The room was lovely with beautiful views across the country side. We had tea/coffee and biscuits supplied in the rooms with fresh milk. The breakfast was all fresh. Cooked breakfast available in whatever format you requested. The only negative was the shower facilities. The shower was in the bath and hand held. There was no bracket to hold the shower head. Also there was no……

“Our stay was fantastic. Me and my husband share the same birthday. I had arranged it with the staff that they would leave balloons blown up in our room prior to arrival. They did this with no worries. Room was excellent. Hot tub awesome. Food was phenomenal. We've already booked to return next year.”

“Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. This is our second time staying and it definitely won’t be……

“stayed for 1 week bed & breakfast. Checked in OK. Room size OK, but overlooking car-park with main road 50 metres away. Room furnished with freestanding pine double wardrobe accommodating full-sized ironing board, electric iron and hairdryer. space divided into 2, left side fore and aft clothes hanging rail (6 hangers),right side 3 shelves 2 drawers. The wardrobe double doors warped, difficult to open & close making loud squealing noise! the drawers were off their broken runners and operated……

“If you want somewhere to stay that is reasonable in price and puts together a good evening meal and breakfast with good beer behind the bar then this is for you. One small drawback my satnav could not find the postcode!!”

“The property was very clean and comfortable and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Just a couple of observations . If a client is using derogatory foul audible language aimed at women in the bar area they should be asked to stop by the manager/bar tender - it’s not pleasant to be subjected to this if you’re sitting quietly trying to enjoy your own drink . It would be great value & a positive accolade for a simple continental breakfast to be included in the nightly rate instead of……

“This is a single room detached building beside the host’s house and it is absolutely delightful. The bed is comfy, the bathroom has lots of big fluffy towels, there is coffee and tea in the room. The weather was warm while we were there but there is cross ventilation and a fan, and we were able to enjoy breakfast outside in the beautiful garden. I would highly recommend this for a couple wanting a quiet place to stay that is convenient to explore the Salisbury area.”

“The location was perfect for us as we were going to the theatre. (2 minute walk). Walking to town didn’t take much longer and we enjoyed looking around. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and offered advice about where to visit. It was nice to be greeted with a smile and the same for when we went down for breakfast. We enjoyed breakfast very much, which was beautifully cooked and presented. To have parking at such a central location was great. We did have to play around getting out……

However, a downside is the lack of a lift to the room, so light luggage is recommended. It would also be an improvement to have a desk and chair in the room.”
