"Helpful and friendly staff. The accommodation was very clean and it had every thing we needed. Walkable to the river and shops and we had a lovely view from our balcony."

"Booked the hotel in order to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. On arrival was advised the restaurant was closed for dinner in the evening, not indicated on the website or hotel listing. Had a young male at the reception that refused to accept parking was provided as a VIP member. Asked to pay up front payment to park at the hotel. When I tried to explain the parking was included and showed him the booking he was very rude, tried to push me away from the reception when I tried to highlight it on his computer screen, and stated "keep away from the screen mate" !!! and did not believe me even though it was clearly indicated in the booking. Frankly very unprofessional. I requested the matter be referred to whoever was managing the property, which was later resolved via a call from the manager. However the worse thing was I clearly requested a 'quite room' away from any noise and was placed in room 501 which is next to what I assume to be the hotel main A/C unit as there was a loud humming / machinery noise that kept myself and my wife awake all night. Not something anyone would want after a 7 hour drive. Not impressed and would not stay there again so I cant recommend the hotel. "

The location is unbeatable—right across from Town Beach and just a short stroll into the town centre, making it incredibly convenient for both relaxing and exploring. The apartment was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with a private balcony offering beautiful ocean views. Waking up to the sound of the waves was definitely a highlight. The rooms felt comfortable and modern, with everything you need The facilities were also a standout—there’s a heated indoor pool, spa, and sauna, perfect for unwinding after a day out. The secure parking and free Wi-Fi added to the overall convenience. What really makes this place special is the combination of location and atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing beach getaway or a base to explore Port Macquarie, it ticks all the boxes. Overall: A fantastic stay with beautiful views, great amenities, and an ideal location. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

"Fantastic view. The view and location were excellent. While the room was very compact, it met our needs. The Lady at the front desk was helpful with obtaining some ice for us."

"Red Cedar HideAway was the best VRBO I’ve ever rented. The setting, the house, the extra amenities, and the hosts, Cassie and Jeff, helped make our trip to Crescent Head extra special. The house felt like home away from home with everything I could have needed. We really enjoyed the bbq and eating our meals on the back deck surrounded by the lush greenery. We had one rainy day, and after venturing out in the rain for a bit, we warmed up for a couple of hours in the cozy living room. Cassie and Jeff go above and beyond as hosts starting with plenty of communication leading up to arrival. The welcome snacks, breakfast basket, and all the coffee and tea options were an extra sweet touch. If I ever needed something during my stay, Cassie was super quick to respond.Our time in Crescent Head was too short, and we really hope to return someday! "
