“We stayed 2 nights to go to The Great Sand Dunes and hike around the area. It’s about an hour drive to the main entrance of Great Sand Dunes. The home was very clean! We were very pleased with the inside, the kitchen was big and shad everything we needed and it had a nice grill as well! The only negative thing we have to say is that the mosquitos in the area are very bad this time of year! They swarmed us right when we got out of the car but the locals said they were even worse the week before……

“This property was very clean and the view was amazing! The owner is a good communicator. The lay-out of the VRBO worked well for our family of 9 adults. We did not realize that mosquitos are very bad during some of June and some of July every year. We visited the dunes and REALLY enjoyed our time there.”

“The property was great. Our stay was great. The property was very well taken care of except for a few minor details that were easily fixed. The hot tub at night was fantastic, great for star gazing. They weren't kidding when they say fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed Hooper's pool and the boys went dirt bike riding. Everyone had a great time. Mountain views from every window, showers and giant soaking tubs in both bathrooms in the main house, and 2 additional bedrooms plus a full bathroom in the adjacent studio. Plenty of room for our family to spread out and relax. The property manager was great to work with and very prompt when I did something stupid and needed her help. “I came to visit hoping to stay in a nice quiet area with a view of the mountains. I was instead treated to a gorgeous and carefully cared for property with beautiful flowers and a gorgeous view. The area was extremely clean, check in took less than 5 minutes, the property owner was extremely welcoming and available. I would not trade this vacation for ANYTHING. When a friend who had initially planned on staying else where's plans had to change, she was able to stay with me with no issues and……

“We stayed at the Mountain Retreat for a week with our dog and it was one of the nicest rentals we've ever stayed in. It was clean, comfortable, and beautiful (both indoors and outdoors--the view is a AMAZING!). Erin was easy to communicate with and we had a fantastic stay. The kitchen has all the basics to prepare simple meals and having laundry was huge for us.
