Best tine ever!
The cottage was absolutely perfect. The island and its people are wonderful! We felt like we were part of their island family when we left. Love the way of life. From sitting on Sally’s front porch for over an hour talking and borrowing her fishing poles to venture out another day! to the ladies at the lighthouse, the preacher at the church, the guy at the coffee shop and so many more! It’s just like a Hallmark movie! Going back to a time lost in my memories when life was good. We are going back again!

Read entire description of rental location
We were unaware of the following because we didn’t read the whole description; we would need to leave our vehicle behind to take a ferry to the island as no vehicles are allowed. Ferry fees are expensive and must be booked ahead, golf cart rental during stay to get to cabin and around is a necessity and is also expensive. Host was prompt with communication when we discovered our dilemna and refunded cleaning fee which wasn’t required of him and was appreciated.

1 bedroom Daufuskie Island cottage.
We stayed here while we volunteered for a 100 mile race on the island. The rental had everything we needed to be comfortable throughout the weekend. There are a couple of places to get food nearby if you rent a golf cart to get around. The closest restaurant was 2 miles from here since we were there in off season. The public beach is also 2 miles from here.

Comfortable Cottage on Daufuskie Island
We were very satisfied with the Evan cottage. The owner responded quickly to questions throughout the entire process. The description and photos were accurate. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The furniture was comfortable, especially the memory foam mattress. In comparison with other Daufuskie properties of equal size we felt it was a great value. We appreciated the wooded, secluded setting and enjoyed having loads of available kindling as a result (even had branch trimmers to cut branches for kindling). The central location affords quick access to many parts of the island, including Haig Point, the ferry landing, the general store and dining options at Cooper River Landing.

Perfect cottage for 2
Cottage was very clean and well stocked with the basics. Front porch is great. We visited based on a write up in Southern Living Mag, which did prove to be somewhat misleading. Many restaurants were closed for the season even though signs indicated they were open for business. Grocery store had limited items for purchase. Haig Point restaurants and facilities are for members only. Old Daufuskie Crab was open and very good. The Front Porch at the distillery was good. Fryes was good. Golf cart rental is a must. Bring more groceries and less clothes would be my advice.

What a charming little house with everything we needed. Easy checkin, great location with privacy. A lot of extras including beach chairs, outdoor grill, deck with outdoor seating. Had a great girls trip yet felt right at home! Excellent communication from Tyler from the moment we booked. Thanks so much. Will def be back!

lost in the dark!
We arrived late and it was dark. The address takes you to a different location on GPS and the cabin is far enough off the road that it is impossible to know it is there at night and there is no marker or sign or blue crab on the road in order to know the cabin is there. Would be very helpful if there was some type of signage at the road...

Amazing cabin in Daufuski Island!!
The cabin was in a perfect location to get away and have a true “unplugged” experience. My son and I were able to truly bond with out the distraction of phones and video games. There was plenty of spots close by to use free wifi so I was still able to check in on my business and check in on family. Daufuski island is a unique location and we would gladly book again with Tyler! The cabin was very clean and had every thing we needed during our stay. Tyler communicated very well and was a great host!

Couples Get Away
The Evan’s Cottage was just as described! Cute and clean. We stayed for the long weekend with another couple. Thankfully the cottage was well stocked, as we traveled from Charleston, SC via our personal boat. Bathroom had a blow dryer and flat iron, which was a plus! We enjoyed cooking steaks on the charcoal grill and hanging out on the large front porch. We only wished we had one more day. Communication was easy with the owners via text message.

Exceeded our expectations.
This little house far exceeded our expectations. The property was clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. It was stocked with everything one could need during a vacation and even had a washer and dryer, which turned out to be a fantastic convenience. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness put into providing amenities was impressive, including the kids' DVDs, which were great at bedtime. The location was also ideal, with easy access to the beach and other local attractions. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking to get away to Daufuskie. It's tucked away for that peaceful unplugged vacation everyone needs.

Clean property, located close to the beach/ winery. Perfect for two people, but could accommodate small children on the pullout couch ( very comfy ). At night we sat on the porch that has a van and is well-lit. There was a large selection of movies to watch in the living room TV which we definitely utilized. would stay again!

A wonderful getaway!
We absolutely loved visiting the island and staying at the Evan Cottage. It’s set a little ways from the dirt road and privacy from neighbors. The host made sure we had all the information from booking a golf cart to reserving the ferry. The house had an umbrella, beach chairs, and an amazing porch off the front that we enjoyed evenings on just chatting! Everything was exceptional and perfect for a quick trip that didn’t break the bank.

Great Get Away!
My husband and I had a wonderful time! We needed a great get away and Daufuskie was the perfect place. The cabin was perfect in size and the porch was wonderful. We had such a peaceful time sitting on the porch each morning and enjoying the tranquility! We had a fun time riding around on our golf cart exploring the Island. Everyone was so friendly! At night we visited the bar and had a blast! We hope to get to visit the Island again soon.

Amazing cottage!
We seriously could sit here all day and talk about how amazing our stay was. The Evan Cottage was very clean, cute, quiet, and overall perfect for our little family of four. Perfect lil bungalow
This was our 3rd trip to Daufuskie Island, we love the island so much but it’s really hard to find something smaller and affordable for a couple people…This lil nook was the perfect place for us! Cozy, comfortable, clean, and the front deck is a huge plus! We had everything we needed. We were a little nervous about what we didn’t bring with us but we were quickly put at ease with having all the necessities! This will definitely be our go-to place from now on, we can’t wait to go back! The Evan Cottage, great place!

Just the nicest people
Tyler and his wife Megan are just the nicest people. . There were a couple of minor hiccups at the start of the visit but they were easy to get ahold of and we got everything worked out quickly. The cabin is clean, perfectly located, and has all the amenities that you need. And you’re gonna need amenities to cook, clean, and enjoy the beach. Had the best chat with Tyler on the phone about island life. We will be back and this is where you should stay.

Great affordable getaway for couples/ small family
It was perfect for our week couple vacation. Daufuskie as an island is remote and hard to bring/ remember all necessities that you will need and this small house held everything we would need. They have a beautiful grill, beach chairs, PLENTY of extra towels, and more. The location is very convenient as its a minute from the only coffee shop on the island and no more than a 5 minute golf cart ride to the ferry, restaurants, beach and the rest of the island. We requested a very early check in last minute and they responded early in the morning accepting our request. They were very responsive hosts before and during the trip with very fair and very minimal cleaning policies for check out.

Our little family had such a great time in this little cottage on the island. It was beautiful and peaceful. The neighborhood was very friendly and quiet. The beach was a short drive away on our golf cart. The place had plenty of blankets, towels, and entertainment. The owner of the property had wood ready for the firepit among many other things to make this place a cozy home away from home. We can't wait for our next trip back.

Nice quiet getaway
Nice family bonding/adventure trip. Kids loved taking the ferry over and golf carting around the island. Very quiet and peaceful and beautiful weather in late March. We loved the Evan cottage which was perfect for our family. Had some games and dvds and just enough space for our family of 4. Loved the peace and quiet, lots of birds in the morning and a great front porch/patio. Would definitely stay again.
