"The Machias River Inn being my first time being there, and living in the state of Maine it was 10/10. The cleanest room that you can tell was cleaned properly (I’ve stayed elsewhere in the state and can tell when housekeeping leaves behind trash visible in plain sight it wasn’t cleaned or swept). ..."

"This beautiful rental is worth making a trip to Downeast Maine stay in. The description reveals lots of steps - so be aware of that - but they are sturdy and we found them easy to climb.
