Each morning began with coffee on the deck, watching trout rise in the river below while planning the day and dreaming about the fish of a lifetime.The house is exceptionally well-appointed, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Whether cooking, relaxing after a day on the water, or organizing gear for the next outing, every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The owners are attentive, responsive, and available if any questions arise.For fly anglers, the location is hard to beat. The river offers a great mix of riffles, runs, and pools that fish well across a range of conditions and water levels. "We loved our over night at the Chestnut Inn and were made to feel like royalty. Danielle is a very special host and made sure we had everything to make us comfortable. Dinner was delightful on the terrace…the lake being steps away. Small but clean and cozy room with updated bathroom. Hotel furnishings very authentic Arts and Crafts with nice details. Breakfast was delicious and mote than we needed! Thanks for a special visit!"
