「Everything was just wonderful.」

「The room was spotless」

「The hotel room and entire top floor was incredibly hot which is not nice in hot weather, this wouldn’t have been a problem if the air conditioning wasn’t broken on the entire top floor. There was also no way to change the temperature of the water in the shower so that was also very hot and it gave off a strange smell when used. Hotel lift was also broken the entire weekend and being on the third floor and no staff offering to help in a 4 star hotel seems a bit of a let down」

「The check in is in the pub which is fine. Friendly greeting. Parking very close so that's great. Room big. Basic. Shower good. Room has the distant smell of cigarettes. Probably lingering in the sofa bed. My company laptop and mobile wouldn't accept the Marston's WiFi so I had to toggle from my personal phone. Nearby M&S was perfect as I didn't want to dine in the pub.」

「We enjoyed our stay with everything about the facility excellent. Except that my family had a challenge in sleeping due to the noise(band)from close environment」

「location is good but no lift. If you have a lot of suitcases, it could be a problem.」

「The room was spacious, and provides was a complimentary breakfast and beverages to drink. The ensuite is a nice large size. Car parking can be a bit of a squeeze if there are guests with cars staying in all of the flats. There was good friendly communication with the owner most of the time. The WiFi was working, but for some reason not the smart TV. Maybe a previous guest messed it up. The house is on a good bus route, with a stop across the road and regular buses into Derby city...

「Payment details had not been updated and was asked to pay again. Luckily I had my bank payment evidence. Room was tired with stained carpet, soiled bed linen, soiled sink, and hairs on toilet and surrounding surface. No one at reception on check out to discuss this with.」

「I enjoyed staying at the hotel; it was clean and the staff were friendly 」

「This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District.」

「Overall, not a good stay and wouldn’t recommend. Room very hot and no air conditioning, no bathroom mirror, place looked a little old and run down. Noisy building and main road made it difficult to get any sleep.」
