Experience vintage charm with modern convenience in our newly renovated 1920s cottage-style duplex, conveniently situated just 2 min from downtown and Drake. This picturesque neighborhood is filled with gorgeous brick and stone homes on tree lined streets. Close to the Arts Center & Ashworth park, our cozy, family friendly home is perfect for families that want to be close to the action yet far enough away to have some space of your own. 3 blocks from Ingersoll Restaurant scene!

This is a duplex, however your side will have it's own entrace as well as it's own space entirely. No interaction necessary.

Nestled in a picturesque and tranquil neighborhood, our duplex on Pleasant St offers a serene escape. Enjoy leisurely strolls through tree-lined streets, and you're just moments away from the vibrant energy of Drake University and downtown Des Moines.

Whole home, even an upstairs loft the kids (or extra adults) will love!

This space is perfect for families that want to be close to the action yet far enough away to have some quiet and feel at home. Level one = Living room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 1/2 bath
Level two = BR 1 = Queen Bed, BR 2 = 2 Queen Bed, 1 full bathroom
Level three = one bedroom with 3 twin beds and work area with desk and chair
Basement = washer/dryer - COMING SOON gameroom

Parking in the driveway or street parking. You are just one minute form I235 that can get you anywhere in the city within minutes.

DO NOT STAY HERE

The pictures the host posted of the property are deceiving. This rental is not “charming”, it’s very very old & not well-cared of; the stairs to the property in the back (which is the way you are instructed to enter) are treacherous. There isn’t lighting outside to maneuver the stairs and I’m sure they aren’t up to code. You’re met with a hanging chain that hits you in the head upon opening the back entry way door. The main floor toilet had been used and was not clean. There were bugs throughout the property. This rental is a duplex, but the walls between the units are paper thin; we could hear the entire conversations from the neighbors next door. The stairs to the higher floors were damaged, with the carpet runner detached from the stairs causing you to slip immediately. We contacted the host who could have cared less about the experience. Only offering to have the cleaners clean the toilet (after asking for a proof-picture first). Don’t be fooled by the listing and find somewhere else to stay in Des Moines.
