Greeting staff was wonderful. My room (307) had a musty smell when I arrived although it appeared exceptionally clean! In the night I realized the carpet in front of the mini fridge was damp and reported to the front desk that it could potentially be creating the smell. One of the best breakfasts I've had had a hotel in a long time! would stay again

I asked the front desk clerk about my VIP status with complimentary drinks and she said they don’t offer that. My son had a cricket in his bathroom and it made noises all night. Otherwise the facility was clean. The area was quiet and convenient to where we needed to go. We left early the next morning and breakfast usually opens at 6:00 and the staff was kind enough to open the full service breakfast line at 5:30 am. All in all the property was clean and safe.

The Sleep Inn at Ankeny was modern and clean. The breakfast was nice and the eating area was a good size to hold the many weekend guests. We ended up being moved to a new room. The weekend was very hot and the A/C units made the rooms very humid. Our first room was so humid the furniture and bedding felt wet to the touch. The second room was a bit better but still left us feeling sticky. The room never cooled to the temperature we had the unit set on. The staff was very accommodating and were helpful in moving us after our late arrival the first night. Convenient location.

The breakfast here is fantastic. We were there during tournaments for kids so it was kind of loud but that’s not the places fault. The breakfast has B&G, cheese omelets, waffles, sausage, hard boiled eggs, ham and a yogurt machine. It was one of the best free breakfast at a hotel I’ve had! Highly recommend. The only issue was all the noise and the bed was a little hard.
