I would recommend this hotel. The unit we have was set up like a French Gite. Outside under cover was the fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Inside plenty of room with a TV, WiFi, master bed and two single beds. En-suite with shower. Staff were family and spoke several languages. We ate at the restaurant on New Year’s Eve and the food was excellent. Would recommend the restaurant. There is a small swimming pool but the beach is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Good location to explore from. Plenty of parking.

Spacious bungalows with great views

We really enjoyed Habitation Grande Anse. Next time we will come during the cooler season and when the restaurant is open. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The view from our bungalow was amazing, and we enjoyed relaxing there as the day wound down.

A nice hotel close to the beach Grande Anse

Our room was higher in the hill so we had a nice wiew from the balcony. We liked staying in this hotel and the room was clean when we arrived. However the room wasn't cleaned once we stayed there (4 nights). The floors were then a bit sandy later in the days. Not even handtowel was changed once and even the kitchen garbage wasn't emptied once. That was pretty much the only negative about the toom. The hotel restaurant was excellent for dinner.

Within short walk to Grande Anse beach. Beautifully kept tropical grounds. Clean, quiet room. We speak no French, but the front desk people did speak English and were very helpful in making reservations for us for day excursions. Great restaurant on site served delicious seafood. The chef came out both nights we ate there to be sure we enjoyed our food. The restaurant hostess was lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional, deserves another star

Stayed for 2 nights in the panoramic room. View is exceptional and staff very friendly and accommodating. This hotel absolutely deserves a higher score than at present (8/10). Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay near Deshaies. The only gotcha is the panoramic room requires you to walk up quite a steep hill for 5 minutes so may be an issue for people with mobility issues

Fairly good location although a bit far from some places, must have a car to get around. Property well kept and room ok including a kitchen with basic gear. In a week only had the room cleaned once and despite efforts sand does get in. It would have been nice to have a broom or other to deal with the sand. Parking was difficult as it was crowded. But overall liked this place. Warning, all uphill; be prepared to climb as parking is at the bottom of the hill.

A true Caribean experience

Beautifully well kept and just like the pictures. The staff although mostly French are superb and do their best to understand and assist you. Many speak Emglish & willtranslate their menu. Something that is rare in Guadaloupe. Beds changed every 4 days. The staff are consistantly clearing cleaning and tidying to keep the grpunds immaculate. The walk to yhe beach is 5 minutes and their are frequent buses into Deshaises. If u want unspoilt Caribean this is the place to go. Shout out too to Virgini & Suzanne running the restaurant like clockwork. Suzanne we shall be looking for u on telly & Virgini if u get to Manchester. Drop us an email.
