Updated 2 Bedroom 1.5 Bath Townhome in the Heart of Destin. Southbay by the Gulf is a beach front community and this unit (#90) has quick access to the beachside pool and beach access where you enjoy 300 ft. of private beach. Our units feature private patios/balconies you can enjoy beautiful views from.

Southbay by the Gulf, is a quaint little townhome community located on the Emerald Waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This secluded property offers 300ft of Private Beach for guests staying at Southbay by the Gulf.

Southbay has 2 swimming pools and 2 kiddy pools. If it's tennis that you love, we have that too. We also have shuffle board and community grilling areas throughout the property. Our grounds are made for walking so park at your front door and enjoy a stroll through the property while feeding the birds, fish and turtles.

Amenities included with your stay include:
- One complimentary round of golf with cart at Regatta Bay, per paid night stay.
- One complimentary half-day deep-sea fishing trip for one adult, per paid night stay.
- One complimentary Snorkel tour per unit, per paid night stay.
- One complimentary adult fare aboard the Sea Blaster per unit, per paid night stay.
- Unlimited movie rentals, two movies out at a time.
*Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to extend these benefits to monthly rentals. They are available only to our guests renting by the day or week.

Good location; close to beach and pool

People were nice and friendly. Location was very good. Close to beach and pool. Premises were kept clean. Only issues were inside the unit (90), but they were minor. No towel rack or hooks in the main bathroom; fan in that bathroom didn't work; patio door was very hard to open; no umbrella on patio; and no clothes hangers. Everything else was clean and in good shape. Kitchen had everything that we needed. We would stay here again.

Quaint community

We did not receive timely check in information and had to call the emergency line to receive it at check in time. The condo smelled like mildew, the floors were sandy and the beds had sand in them. The property manager did come with clean bed linens and vacuumed the floors. The couch cushions were so deformed you almost slid off when you sat down. There was black mildew in the window seals. The location was excellent, but the condo was unclean and very outdated especially for the price point. It was comparable to other updated nicer units in the area.

Great location for a great price

The unit was as described in the listing. It was clean and came with sheets and towels that could be washed in the washer/dryer in the unit. There was also one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one roll of paper towels, one little box of detergent, a couple individual size dishwasher soap, one dish sponge, and a small bottle of dish soap. There were also theee beach chairs (adult sized but sit really low on the ground) and a bucket with some sand toys. The knob on the dryer broke when we were staying there but the property manager offered to get us more towels and sheets as needed, so that was nice. The pool is only a few steps away and the beach is close too. There is a beach service that has an umbrella and two loungers available to rent for about $36 for the whole day, $24 for 4 hours, or $8 for one hour. Overall, it was a great location and we would definitely stay here avain.

This was a decent location for the price- really close to the beach. The main bedroom bed was quite comfortable, always a plus. The downstairs bathroom didn’t appear to have been cleaned and the tv in the living room is quite small. We don’t watch a lot of tv, but it would have been nice to have something larger.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Southbay. The location was great. Convenient to so many shops and restaurants and the beach!! Love the pool and tennis courts! Would definitely stay here again!
