The Space:
When you’re ready for a family vacay, head to Pelican Beach 405, a Gulf-front condo located right in the heart of Destin. With stunning views and tons of amenities, your only question will be, why didn’t we book sooner!
Pelican Beach 405 is a lovely fourth floor condo with one bedroom and two baths accommodating up to six. The views don’t get much better than from the living room, with a sofa, love seat, and flat-screen TV. Come together for a game of cards at the table with seating for four, or gather at the breakfast bar for morning coffee. Take in the views from the kitchen while preparing quick snacks for the pool or beach, then head out onto the private balcony with a favorite book before an afternoon catnap. You’ll find cozy sleeping arrangements in the master suite with a king-sized bed, flat-screen TV, and en suite bath. The kids will love the twin bunks nestled in the hall, while the sofa sleeper in the living room provides additional sleeping arrangements.
You’ll find tons for the whole family to do right on the property, including shared swimming pools, a hot tub, two fitness centers, and a stunning stretch of beach right out back. With Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park just across the road and The Track’s go-karts and miniature golf course less than a mile away, you won’t have to travel far to enjoy Destin’s most popular attractions. Packed with restaurants, shopping, and activities, the Destin boardwalk is just minutes away, and the perfect spot to rent a watercraft for the day! Parties, events, bachelor and bachelorette parties are strictly prohibited, and an adult chaperone must accompany guests under 25 throughout their stay. Smoking is strictly forbidden, and pets are unfortunately not welcome and subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Guests found in violation are subject to eviction with no refund.
Parking is for one vehicle. The Front Desk is available and will assist with check-ins 24/7.

Peace of heaven but needs updating
Great location with beautiful view of the sea. Everything is close. Definitely needs updating. Older TV and bad reception. The sinks are short and makes it hard to brush your teeth and wash your. Main bed mattress is good but frame is coming apart. Would definitely go back specially if if it gets the upgrades.

Could’ve been better
I developed a rash from a seriously overused hot tub. The bracelets and security on site were a little over the top and my mom wanted to come visit for an hour and the front desk gave me absolute hell about it even though they told me it would be fine before I checked in. One elevator was out of order the whole time which meant we could never get an elevator down to the beach and had to carry all our beach stuff down the stairs. Little small inconveniences that started to add up over time that makes me think I’ll look elsewhere next Springbreak.

View was beautiful, but don't expect to get a good nights sleep. With the master bedroom located at the front of the condo it is very loud and annoying listening to everyone coming and going in the hallway, doors slamming, talking very loud and stomping around. You can hear kids screaming in other rooms. Makes for an un-relaxing vacay when you're sleep deprived.

Great views with lots of property amenities
Overall we really enjoyed out stay. Below are pros/cons;
PROS:
Condo is a great space with amazing views.
Good sized kitchen and to good sized bathrooms.
Pelican Beach resort has tons of amenities to include 3 pools, private beach, tiki bar, and a gym.
CONS:
We had to buy things like salt, pepper, cooking spray, and coffee filters. I think these should be considered as something you supply those renting the property.
Overall would definitely stay here again, but we would know that we need to buy a few more things than expected typically with a VRBO.

The room itself could have been better. We had to go buy wash clothes because we were only given 1. There were multiple dirty dishes in the cabinets that we had to wash before we could use them.

Middle of the road
The condo needs updated. Master bath def needs renovated. Hooks throughout the condo would be helpful especially in masterbath. The bathroom liner/curtain needs replaced black mold. The location is great, view is great. They need to spruce it up for the price they are charging.

Everything was good except the couch was dirty and stained badly. With just our stay alone, I believe you all can afford 2 new couches. We covered them both with sheets in order to feel comfortable to sit on them. Also, the bottom of the shower curtain was dirty and should be changed.

This was our 2nd time staying at this resort and we love it. The room itself is great, clean and had everything we needed.

No TV
Even while we’re at the beach we like to watch TV in the evenings. We were unable to do so bc the cable wasn’t working. We tried for two days to reach someone. Once we did, the following day someone visited to tell us he couldn’t fix it. So no TV, and the overhead fan in the master would smoke if you turned it on.

Very clean and great view!
Our condo was very clean and nice. The view from the balcony was breath taking, and the beach access was very nice. The pools were heated so it made our April trip very enjoyable.

Bedroom needs new mattress. Ice maker did not work. Had to go buy ice for drinks. Surprise this unit did not have a washer or dryer. I wil not reserve this unit again. Pools were great and very enjoyable.

Great spot with issues
My overall stay was great and the spot 405 was perfect. A lot of the time the elevator was packed so we could just take the stairs and that was so nice. The house was nice but definitely needed some updates that shouldn’t be looked over. The master bathroom toilet seat was cracked and it pinched you every time. The master bed was not leveled flat and very uncomfortable. The shower head and faucet were packed with mold. The kitchen stock was very minimum we made it work but it would have been nice to have some cups other then glass for the kids. I would stay there again but these things should be fixed.

Definitely Recommend
The room offered everything we needed. The location is very close to the main elevators and laundry room. I was worried that only being on the 4th floor we would not have a good view of the beach but I was wrong. Overall, 10/10 for our family of 6. If there needs to be any improvement then it would be maybe a better sweep between guest, however you’re at the beach, there will be sand everywhere regardless.
