Great for big groups

Stayed here with a large group and the house was fantastic. It’s a great location either to walk or use the golf cart to get to the beach. We had a blast and would stay here again. The property manager was also great to communicate with.

A Birthday Reunion in Remembrance of Mom

A relaxing extended weekend with family and newcomers to reflect on memories of Mom. The accommodations were comfortable and homey. We planned a lantern release on our last there and we were close enough to the beach to walk down and conduct the ceremony. For our older adults we drove down and parked and they were able to view it from the cars. We had alot of family present.

Absolutely Amazing

Often times you see something on the internet but it's not quite what it looked like in those pics when you show up. This was the opposite. The pics actually didn't do it justice once we saw in person. The house was beautiful and well kept, the location priceless, and the backyard made the time spent with friends even more memorable.

Family trip 2024

They need to put a railing for getting into the pool for safety reasons. They need a new stove and range. Stove top cooks only hot. Pool table needs repaired. It would be nice to have beach chairs or an umbrella included. Other than those 3 items, we loved our stay. The teens loved having their own floor. Well equipped kitchen. Beds are comfortable. Close to beach. We never used the golf cart.

Fun Family Vacation!

This home is amazing and beautiful! We had 8 adults and 6 children under the age of 6 years! Everyone had their own bedroom and private bath. The children especially enjoyed the bunk rooms. The layout of the main floor is spacious with a well-stocked kitchen and nice eating area with large dining table for a big group. We all loved the backyard with the large heated pool. We had little ones, and so appreciated the door alarms going out to the pool. There are pool and sand toys but plenty of nearby stores to buy more. The golf cart was so much fun and very handy. The beach access is very close and a quick cart ride or walk. The beach is beautiful and not too crowded, even though it was Spring Break. We spent many hours playing in the water and sand! There are so many great places to eat or do take out! Take advantage of the fresh fish! The grouper and red snapper was amazing! Our family loved this vacation and it was the perfect place to be together. We all want to come back!

Awesome Family beach house stay

Great home for a group

The property was great for our group. Everyone had enough space, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. It was a short walk to the beach and had the perfect back yard and pool. Will be coming back to this same house next year!

Summer getaway

We had 17 family members stay at this house. Multiple couples and 7 teens. It was very nice for all the couples to have a private bathroom and bedroom. The bunk rooms for the kids were perfect too! The only thing that would have made the rooms better is some kind of dresser especially for the bunk rooms. Each room has a small closet but just not much space for their belongings so everything had to be on the floor. The location from the beach was great. A very short walk with direct access from the street the house is located on. When the teens were tired of beach time, we felt safe to let them walk back alone. The public access was really small as the surrounding condos would not allow anyone else on their beach. It was so hot though we really didn’t sit much. We just parked our wagon and headed to the water. The pool was nice and the backyard set up was great for good family times! The door alarm for the back door was kind of annoying but totally understand it’s purpose if a family is there with small children. We loved having the golf cart and used it so much! Many Bad Ass Coffee, Sonic Milkshake runs and Alvin Islands runs were made! Really the only true issue we had was the ice maker didn’t work. A maintenance person was sent and said a part needed to be ordered. We were never able to use it and the refrigerator doesn’t really make enough ice to keep up with that many people so we did have to buy ice and freeze water bottles to keep coolers cold.

Just Perfect

The house is beautiful just as pictured. It was clean and ready for us to check in on time. Our group had a wonderful time in this beach house. This property had everything that you could possibly want, from the location to all the amenities. Having the golf cart was very very convenient, it made going to the beach so quick and easy. Would definitely stay there again if we have a need for that big of a place.

A wonderful home to spend the holidays!

We loved the home on Crystal beach. We had 19. Five couples and nine children. The weather was not great, but the home was. The location was perfect for us. There is a school around the corner with a wonderful playground, we spent many a afternoon playing there when it was too cold on the beach. We had a hard time keeping the pool heated because of the rain. But every time we need help the property manager answered our calls quickly. They even let us have our Christmas presents delivered to there home and brought them to us. Over the top service and greatly appreciated. All in all a perfect place for our large family.

Great Vacation Spot!

We so enjoyed Kiddoboo Cottage! We came with extended family and there were 19 of us staying in the house!! The house was beautiful and tons of room. So enjoyed having a private bath with each bedroom and so many king bedrooms for all the married couples to stay and the third floor was perfect for the kids! So enjoyable to be able to have a private pool that was a nice size for all of us to enjoy. Only two things a family should know about the stay here: The AC in the house is just marginal. The kids were pretty hot on third floor and second floor was definitely not cool enough. Only allowed to keep AC on 73 and did not feel like 73. The block from the beach is misleading information. BC where the chairs are that come with the house you really need to walk two blocks on farther east for easier access to the chairs and umbrella. When you walk to the end of the block and go to the beach that way there is hardly any public access to the beach.

Great home with lots of bedroom space a close walk to the beach!

Our large family filled every bed in this awesome house and it was the perfect option for us! Convenient to everything Destin - groceries, shopping, and more! The pool in the backyard gets shade every afternoon about 3:00 p.m. so it provided a nice place to cool off after our beach days. Plus, the pool had lots of seating which was great! We chose to increase the number of reserved chairs and umbrellas at the beachfront but the home provides one umbrella and two chairs so you always have a great, reserved space at the water. The kitchen was very functional and we were pleasantly surprised and grateful for the separate ice machine! We had a small issue with the dishwasher not working but we were mostly using paper goods anyway due to the size of our group. The listing said you could park 9 cars... not quite unless they are all Smart cars. :) We had 5 cars and 6 max is probably a more realistic number to advertise. Overall, had a great experience!

Kudos for Kiddoboo Cottage!!

This place was amazing...lots of room, wonderfully decorated, and great layout. The location was within walking distance to the beautiful turquoise beach (2 blocks away). Convenient to many restaurants and shops. Only gave 4 stars, because parking was challenging for 17 family guests (approx. 6-7 cars among us). Public parking nearby but no overnight parking allowed. The evening of our family reunion dinner, 3 of guest cars were ticketed because the bumpers stuck out over sidewalk. I understand parking is an issue in the Destin area, so this was not unique to us. Just be aware.
