"I booked this in a spur of the moment decision knowing I needed a week away from work, the city life ( I was born a country gal) and some "me" time... it was more than I expected. I'm glad I picked it! The description was very honest, it is not a Ritz-Carlton by any means, which they do state that, (So I packed according to their description) but can (and probably has) accommodate quite a large group! The pool was huge, I spent most of my week in it, and on the deck reading, in privacy & the quietness of nature. I couldn't have asked for a better remote place in the country, but yet minutes away from Lansing if I needed anything. (I went there once) I felt a little guilty for staying in the 6 bedroom home by myself, so I ended up having my daughter from WI. Come down a couple nights, and ended up going back to Decorah and getting my brother to stay a couple nights. (He'd only planned on staying one, until he saw it) They all loved it. I will definitely recommend it, and hope to return... I bet it's even more beautiful in the fall surrounded by color "
