“We spent 11 days at the cottage while visiting our hometown for our wedding. The location was perfect and the cottage had plenty of space to entertain any guests that visited. Our favorite part was the sunrises and sunsets as you get a truly exceptional experience of both at this location. The hosts made us feel right at home and were always immediately available for any questions we had. We will definitely stay here again as well as recommend this place to our friends and family that reside……

“Large kitchen/ dining. Ample public spaces. Bedrooms all nice. Clean and inviting. Quiet neighborhood. Nice fire pit area. Downtown Alpena is close by and fun. Fabulous lake view! ”

“A great little spot for a weekend getaway! The cabin was very clean, strong internet access, and well stocked with kitchen amenities. The neighbors were quiet and the lake was very clean. We had a wonderful stay and would be happy to stay again! ”

“We came for a family vacation. We were very happy with the house. It had everything we needed. It was very spacious and comfortable We brought my elderly mother and it was very easy for her to get around. Nice having a main floor bedroom and full bath. We loved sitting outside. Beautiful view and very peaceful. It was close to town and conveniently located to everything we wanted to do. We would definitely stay again!”

“The cabin was great!!! Super clean and beautifully decorated. Kitchen was well stocked with all needed utensils. Lovely, considerate extras: ice, bottled water, fresh flowers, and so much more! We spent 2 nights as a couple and 2 more as grandparents of 2 boys (3&10). Such valuable memories and happy experiences. Beach was quiet and clean with anything you could hope for!!! So grateful for Carmen’s generosity. ”

The location for our activities planned was very good. The only thing I would suggest to change is the address/location listed for the cabin. It was inaccurate. The property manager cleared this up with us but it was confusing at first.”

“Rob was an excellent and responsive host. Cabin was extremely comfortable, roomy, kitchen well appointed. Loved the peace and quiet and fire pit at night. Staying for another 2 weeks in October. Highly recommend Northern Comfort Cabins. ”
