“Title: Major issues from arrival through departure – very disappointing stay Review:We rented this VRBO on Caye Caulker from March 13-23. Our arrival was chaotic: the caretaker Desmond ghosted us at the San Pedro ferry dock despite promising to pick us up by boat. We had to arrange our own taxis and golf cart. Upon reaching the house we discovered no running water, raw sewage backup in the downstairs bathroom, a worker occupying one bedroom (uncomfortable with teens in our group), leaking……

“We rented this (upstairs) unit and the main level unit, shared with friends. Ideal setup for traveling as 2 couples. The house is clean and welcoming. Furniture is comfortable and there are many outside chairs and lounges. Ms. Flor met us for easy(early) check-in and explained the use of the "off-grid" systems. Living off grid can be fun and exciting! Having use of the 4 bikes made the secluded location, not so secluded. The pool is sparkling and so inviting on the hot days and early……

“Our stay at the Dock House was definitely more GLAMPing than camping. We had a great breeze which allowed for us to sleep with the windows open and no mosquito net needed. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have experienced in Belize. (We have been traveling to Belize for years and typically stay in places under $200/night). We had breakfast both mornings and really enjoyed it! Very peaceful 2 days up north. 10/10 recommend!”

“The grounds were nice and had fun playing cornhole. My main reason for 3 overall is due to being in bottom unit. Woken up to footsteps early both mornings. Kids running, heavy steppers. Couldn’t get back to sleep. So stay in upper units would be my recommendation.”
