"The property is beautiful and the owners are so nice. It is very remote area, so only one option for dining. You can cook I. Your kitchenette, but we were not prepared for the hotel being so far away from the nearest store or restaurant. Plan ahead. Shop on your way there or co tact owners ahead of time to see about arranging for meals. "

"Toberua Island Resort is one of a kind. We stayed here for 9 nights and each day gained more appreciation of how the island is run as it’s clear the guest experience top of mind. There are so many components that made this the relaxing get away we were looking for. The only music they play is live acoustic at lunch and dinner, I loved that. Each morning the grounds are cleaned by staff that we just started going totally barefoot at some point. The rooms are cleaned spotless and so architecturally authentic, beautiful and spacious. For lunch and dinner each day you get a set of options (a vegetarian option as well) that you choose in the morning & is prepared so when you arrive to eat, it is timely, fresh, and very delicious. The spa has a lot of options of massages, facials, hair braiding, manicures, just wow. Every evening you get a preview of the next days activities that you can sign up for including visiting nearby islands, kayaking, snorkelling, scuba diving, weaving (coconut tree leaves), which we signed up for all. There’s also kayaks, a sailboat, & paddle boards on the beachfront that you can take as you please (we kayaked every evening for sunset). The island is so quiet and serene that you hear the ocean waves and birds, just incredible. The staff are just the cherry on top, going above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience. This resort is managed well and superb 👌. We definitely plan to come back and with a bigger group. Special place ✨🌴🐠🍹"

"My partner and I stayed at the Royal Davui resort for six nights. Upon arrival we were welcomed in song by the staff. After a refreshing welcome drink we were escorted to our villa (one of only 16 on the entire island). Breathtaking doesn't adequately describe our private accommodations which included a living room, which opened onto a large deck overlooking the cerulean blue South Pacific. The deck also included a refreshing plunge pool and chase loungers. The bedroom also overlooked the ocean, as did the soaking tub in the bathroom. Dining included fresh food prepared daily (including daily fresh caught fish) as well as thirst quenching juices, cocktails and a selection of fine wines. We took advantage of one of the two gazebos for private dining one evening. Excursions were memorable including a boat ride to a neighboring island to tour the community and watch a presentation by the local school children. We also enjoyed a sunset cruise with appetizers, champagne and serenade. We will long remember the tour to the private island (a sliver of sugary white sand) for a picnic which included umbrella, chairs, drinks and lunch. All of this added to the experience, but not as much as the beautiful, smiling, friendly staff of the Royal Duvai including Iva, Paula, Matthew and David. If you are a senior looking for peace, relaxation or even a little adventure, I would HIGHLY recommend the Royal Duvai Resort. "

"My partner and I had a wonderful time at this off the grid getaway! The property was gorgeous and well maintained with all the necessities in your bure. Steve and Allison were attentive to all our needs and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The location was remote with the sounds of nature and Fijian life surrounding you. Do not miss out on the blowhole or rainbow reef! Beware the property does require a bumpy drive and wifi is hard to come-by on all of Taveuni. Overall ann amazing stay! "
