"This property is amazing!!!!!! Loved everything about it! The host was the sweetest! Very quiet rural place. Loved sitting on the porch- both inside and outside watching the birds and just relaxing. Great escape and close to lots of hiking and beautiful scenery! I soooo wanna go back!"

"Cabin was cute, clean, and pet friendly. We enjoyed the fire pit area each evening. The price was reasonable and it was a really good value. We would stay here again. Grounds were nicely kept and the Outpost was nice for ice cream in the afternoon. The location was good for not having to travel too far to go hiking or exploring. Had a relaxing and peaceful stay!!"

"The location was perfect and the host was more than accommodating. I recommend anyone who wants to stay in a quiet peaceful place and visit the national forest this place is for you. The only recommendation I have is check your email prior to going to the destination for instructions. The area is remote and cell signal is off and on. Once you arrive and access wifi your phone works perfectly."

"We’ve stayed here a few years in a row now. Great little cabin close to everything Shawnee has to offer. We normally go in the winter so the hot tub is a great way to unwind after some cold but beautiful hiking. We’ll be back again!"

"We took a chance to go to southern illinois because we never went to Shawnee forest. It was a lovely stay. The ybit was wonderful and set on a cliff above the Ohio river. Kitchen and bathroom were great. Great water pressure in shower. Back dwck was great to sit and relax at in the night time. Nice fire put out back. Was more a wonderful place to stay than doing acticities on site. We left to find adventured and activities nearby. It is set perfectly for short drives to the forest or to state parks on the river which we spent the days visiting and exploring the area. Lots of sights to see and places to experience. "
