“My husband and i had a peaceful retreat for our 37th anniversary. We took lots of walks, we spotted lots of wildlife. Its in a great location with no one right next to you. House was clean and beds comfortable. We would definitely return. The hosts were wonderful.”

“Beautiful lake, great location close to the sandbar. Separate guest house bed/bath worked out perfectly with a baby in our group. The home had everything we needed and excellent communication with the property owner. We rented a pontoon and could park it at the house. We did day trips to Elk Rapids and Traverse City. Five stars!”

“Nice quiet area and was a relaxing place to stay”

“First time at the hotel eventhough my hysband and I visit Traverse City every year. We chose this location because of family reunion. Water on the lake was a tad cold as it is only mid June but there was an indoor pool and hot tub to make up for it. Guest service was courteous and we had a very nice overall experience.”

“Lovely spot, close to skiing and snowmobiling. The pool and hot tub is at the club house and cost $6 a day. It was a great and fun to have. The only negative is that i think this property would not hold more than 6 people. The bedrooms are small. Not a problem for us because our whole group did not come, but could be for other bigger groups. We also ran out of TP and paper towel and we only had 4 people. Not a complaint, just a comment! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this dog friendly……

“The house & bunkhouse were exactly what we wanted for our weekend. We did a combined bachelorette/Bachelor party weekend, so the boys stayed in the bunkhouse and the girls stayed in the house. The house has a large entertaining area that was perfect to play games and hang out all together. The patio & dock were also the perfect spot for hanging out with a beautiful view of the lake. This was the perfect little retreat location and we will definitely be back!”

“We had a great stay. The condo is comfortable with everything you could want / need. Check in was easy and the checkout checklist is very short - not the case for many rentals. We were not golfing, but this would be the perfect location for a golf weekend. We have been vacationing at Schuss & Shanty Creek for many years. This”

“It's was a cute condo but could use some updating of the recliner and pull out couch mattress. The ice maker in the freezer had mineral build up that left floaties in your beverage as the ice melted. The jetted tube needs to have the jets cleaned more frequently as they were filled with icky stuff. The hot tub and pool were closed and not scheduled to open until the next weekend which we wish we had known. We were looking forward to using them but were never informed of this aspect. The……

“The house was absolutely perfect for my friends and I (4 of us total) to spend a weekend on the lake. The beds are all amazingly comfortable, and the hot tub became a nightly ritual of winding down before going to bed! Would absolutely love to be a guest again sometime!!! :)”

“We were thrilled with the indoor and outdoor spaces with this property. As reviews stated there is some road noise being near a busier road, but the amenities and the view make it barely noticeable. We enjoyed sipping wine on the outdoor deck, overlooking the lake, as well as roasting s’mores around the large and tidy fire pit. We had one full day of rain but had plenty to entertain both the adults and kiddos. Excellent host communication. Will stay here again!”
