The heated bathroom floor was a very nice surprise! The location was perfect as there was plenty do to close by (walk to the lake, grab a bite from the Putnam Market) and also a short trip from some of the other destinations we wanted to visit. “It is what it is. I am way too old to be doing that style of camping anymore. Just not for me. There was a lot of communication when I booked but haven't heard anything since. I didn't realize some of the things when I booked it.I guess I didn't read or it wasn't there.I don't know. But that hike in and out kinda sucked! The toilet is so crooked.It's hard to go to the bathroom. I get roughing it and camping isn't glamorous?But there's a few things that could make this just a little bit nicer of……

“Eva was an amazing host and an incredible cook! We didn't know what to expect, but the place is beautiful, quiet, comfortable and clean and her hospitality and friendliness above and beyond. It's close to a few towns but also close to a lot of must see nature areas. We would definitely stay there again!”

“We had a great time. The tent and toilet were clean. We appreciated the water provided and the cookware. The only thing to note is that there is a bit of walking on a rocky trail before reaching the campsite (not next to the parking spot). The river was fun to explore but can be difficult for younger kids to get to. The campsite is close to Minnewaska State Park, very convenient. ”
