“Second time staying here. We stayed the first time for our anniversary and thought our kids would love it. So we booked this trip for a family weekend getaway. We again enjoyed the property and our kids did as well. Its private and you feel like your in the middle of no where but your not far from stores. During our stay we stopped at Scoops for ice cream and on our way home we stopped at RaeColes Coffee Bar and i would recommend both places. Also recommend checking out the Lead Wood Access and……

“We traveled here for a week long stay. We had 6 adults and one child. The property was just as listed and everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We made most our meals and the kitchen was stocked appropriately. Linda was an excellent host and responded very quickly to our questions/concerns.”

“I went there with 3 of my lifelong friends to ride Harley Davidsons through the Arcadia Valley. The Olde Homestead is a beautifully remodeled property in a great location. The house is clean & newly furnished with 3 nice bedrooms (king & 2 fulls) and 2 full bathrooms, living room, etc. 2 decks/patio and a garage let you spend time outside regardless of the weather. The area is great for sightseeing, and it was great for motorcycle riding and the property is perfectly located for both.……

Lots of cool history to the house and they made sure to have enough documented stuff in there you could understand how special the place was. Will definitely be coming back”

“Great property layout, with the pond and fire pit to keep the group under the stars in the evenings. Lots of sleeping space in the house but could have used a bathroom on the lower level where many people slept. Overall a nice secluded spot to hang out with the boys.”

“This property is perfect for anyone that desires a secluded getaway. The grounds are vast with amazing views and trails for the nature lover. The owner, Linda, is wonderful and responds quickly to texts. The dining table had a tray of snacks and candy that was enjoyed after long hikes. Also had K-cups for that much needed quick cup of Joe. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with my beloved golden doodle, he also gives The Loft of Arcadia 5 woofs!!!”

“We loved the Ironton Bungalow! We needed a quick weekend getaway from STL and this was perfect. We took advantage of the close proximity to Elephant Rocks and Johnson’s Shut ins, and stopped at two coffee shops in town. The house was bigger and better than how it appeared in the pictures and super clean! It was our first trip with our dog and the yard and dog supplies (while mostly unneeded) were a nice touch. We hope to be back!”

“This served as a perfect base of operations for visiting the Shut Ins and seeing Ironton’s Mountain Music Festival. Being on the backside of Shepard Mountain it’s super quiet and separated from the world… but town is only a few minutes away around on the other side of the base of the mountain. It had everything you would want in an experience if you were camping, like a fire pit, endless stars, and all the quiet of being remote in the forest alone…. But inside it’s nice the cabin , clean,……
