「In Marion for a family wedding. Perfect place for all of us (adult children and teenage grandchildren and pre-teen great grandchildren). Dramatic great room overlooking 5th tee. Got to review the golfers as an added benefit. Looks like a good spot for a getaway golf weekend.」

「Great, quaint cabin, that is well maintained and tastefully appointed. Setting on the covered porch looking out over the trees and pasture made me feel like I was 1000 miles from anywhere. The hobby farm next door was really cool. There were all kinds of animals on the property, many roaming free. I even saw a skulk of foxes as I pulled into the property. A quick 8 minute drive and you were in Carbondale. Very cool.」

「The home is an older home which appears to have been built in stages. The floors are quite creaky and the age shows throughout. The worst issue for us was the noise of the street out front. We had expected less traffic in such a small town, although the owner made no such claim. The beds were excellent and there was plenty of hot water. The furniture is in good shape. In view of the price we felt it was a good value.」

「I cannot say enough how wonderful our stay was at Oak Manor. We stayed here for our daughter’s law school graduation and we had 15 family and friends join us. The house was exceptional. So clean and comfortable. We cooked all of our meals together and grilled out on the terrace. 「We ladies had a great couple of days in wine country. It was so nice for all four of us to have our own bed. The house is roomy and was very clean with all the amenities needed. We would recommend it! Be aware, it is closer to the road than we expected, but there was no traffic noise. Also, there are no shades on the main floor windows. Nice location. Close to the wine trail and Carbondale, even a Dollar General. Great stay!」
