Nestled in the foothills of the Dublin & Wicklow mountains, The Nook is an ideal escape for couples, families, golfers and business travellers who want a beautiful countryside setting with easy access to Dublin City and all it has to offer.

The Property:
Located in Rathmichael, County Dublin, on a quiet tree-lined cul-de-sac, The Nook adjoins a large family home set on 2.5 acres of gated gardens. Flanked by empty fields, The Nook commands uninterrupted views of Carrickgollogan Hill and Rathmichael Wood and is less than a 10-minute drive from the coast.

The Nook adjoins a large family home, however is fully self-contained. Guests have access via a private entrance and are provided with a code for the electric gates.We ask that you respect our privacy and garden area surrounding the main house. If you would like to see the rest of the garden, greenhouse or vegetable patch please notify Daniel and he will arrange a tour.

First-Hand Recommendations:
A helpful guest book full of recommendations regarding local supermarkets, pubs restaurants, and places of interest is provided upon arrival.

Lovely stay

The Nook was a fabulous stay! Daniel was very communicative during the stay. My children loved “playing” tennis every morning (in quotations because they’re three and 4 months!) relatively easy to get into Dublin if needed but we really enjoyed being outside the city. Spent a lot of time on the Bray Promenade! Would recommend for anyone with families!

Very Nice

We really enjoyed our stay at the Nook even though it was a quick visit for one night. Patrick was very helpful throughout the entire experience and even let us use his personal freezer to store some items. The house was lovely along with the grounds/landscaping. The only recommendation I would make is the interior needed a little sprucing up maybe with a fresh coat of paint in a couple of the rooms.

Absolutely excellent!

Staying at The Nook was an absolutely excellent start to our Ireland adventure. It was the perfect place for us to stay while exploring Dublin and the surrounding areas. The accommodations are perfect for two or three couples, and we found the setting in the countryside to be ideal vs. staying at a hotel in Dublin. And Daneil was great to work with. We can't wait to come back!

Perfect Stay In Ireland

The Nook is a perfect VRBO. It had everything we needed for our 6 night stay in Ireland. A bonus for sure was having the ability to wash/dry clothes. Daniel, was very efficient with communication and we had no problems with check-in and check out. The place has plenty of room and allowed us all to spread out be very comfortable.

Couldn't have been better!

Five of us stayed at Daniel's place for a couple of nights at the end of our Ireland trip. This was easily the nicest place we stayed throughout our 2-week trip. The Nook was clean and comfortable, and (unlike every other place we stayed) had sufficient hot water for all of us to shower. The area and grounds are beautiful and the proximity to Dublin city can't be beat. Their pup Ben was an added bonus, we loved running into him and showering him with pets! We hope to stay again on our next trip, and absolutely recommend it if you're looking for a place near Dublin!

Beautiful Property, Beautiful Neighborhood

The property was even more lovely than the pictures. The rooms were very large, and the garden was beautiful. Daniel was very easy to contact, and extremely accommodating. My son got sick during the flight there, so he was gracious enough to let us check in a little early. We were a little cold, but got much cozier when we remembered to turn on the fireplace.

Perfect hideaway for those with cars.

An attractive and spacious "nook" in beautiful surroundings just outside Dublin. For visitors with a car, the secure gated parking and easy access to the city is perfect. Communication with Daniel was quick and clear. Recommended.

De locatie en het huis geweldig! Een plek om tot rust te komen... Communicatie verliep prima. Wij vinden echter wel dat de schoonmaak wat beter zou kunnen, zo ook de inventaris van de keuken. Ook verschillende lampen waren defect. Verder hebben we echt genoten van het fijne huis en de rust. Ook de bezoekjes van de honden vonden we erg gezellig, wat een lieverds! We zouden deze plek zeer aanraden en hopen nog eens terug te komen in The Nook!

Super sauber, super Kommunikation, super Service. Zu bemängeln ist bestenfalls, dass der Pool nicht betriebsbereit war - kein Drama, aber sollte erwähnt werden. Die Lage ist etwas ab vom Schuss, ein (Miet-)Auto unserer Meinung nach dringend erforderlich! Alles in Allem absolut empfehlenswert 🍀

Great stay convenient to Dublin

We enjoyed our stay at this house. It was conveniently located minutes from the train station and train ride is about 40 minutes to Connolly station. We had some difficulty initially finding the house as cell phones did not work upon arriving from U.S. Make sure owner emails you well in advance with exact directions. Otherwise house was well stocked and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Lovely Accommodations

Lovely, quiet accommodations adjacent to the main house. Bed was comfortable, sitting room was attractive and cozy, and there was plenty of hot water for showers. Owner was on site and available to answer our questions. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Lovely house in an amazing situation. Very secluded and private but within easy reach of all amenities. The place was well equipped with everything we needed. It was a lovely touch to be left a bottle of red by the owners too. Would love to stay here again.

Clean, quiet, easy accomodations for a small family

Clean, reasonably spacious for 4 adults and a 1 year old baby, well appointed for cooking. They even had a high chair and portable crib for the baby already set up for us. The location is an easy drive to the DART station and the Rathmichael woods are just outside the door and an absolutely beautiful walk. We really enjoyed our time!
