Good location

The hotel is located in old town which is very good for us to explore the old town scene. Easy to access from bus station for about 10 mins. Nice breakfast with good coffee. And the receptionist is friendly to answer all the questions. Beds are good. Bathroom can be improved.

Este alojamiento es lo menos parecido a un hotel. Es un edificio antiguo sin modernizar y sin mantenimiento. No tienen servicio de habitaciones. De las tres noches que estuvimos allí,no hubo ni un día que nos hicieran limpieza, tampoco nos hicieron las camas. Los techos están llenos de goteras, se sale el agua del lavabo, desconchones en los azulejos del baño. La "recepción" es una barra de bar llena de vasos sucios. Huele a tabaco, etc. Lo único positivo es que está muy céntrico. Por todo lo demás no se lo aconsejo a nadie.

The location is wonderful. A short walk from the Pile Gate, not far up a side street. Customer service was not great. They wanted to put me in an annex for one of my two nights and didn’t understand that I couldn’t switch rooms the next day because I would be on a tour all day. There was little attempt to understand, and I had to figure out an alternative for them so that I was in the same room for my stay.

Nice staff in a great area. The accommodations were acceptable but it smelled like mold & the rooms seem to not have been updated in a while. Fair for price but I wouldn’t stay more than a night.

J'ai eu quelques hésitations avant de réserver, au vu des nombreux feedbacks. J'ai cependant, et à regret, fait confiance en pensant que seuls les clients trop exigeants laissaient un avis négatif. C'était un tort ! Hormis la position de "l'hôtel" +++, tout le reste est à fuir!! Le bâtiment est vétuste. Les espaces d'accueil (réception, salle de déjeuner) minuscules, à peine identifiables. Pas d'ascenseur. La chambre attribuée, bien que spacieuse, sentait… le pourri !!! Très fort. Pas occupée depuis des lustres ou pas ventilée ? Une propreté plus que douteuse. La clim : non fonctionnelle et au vu des traces++, pas entretenue depuis des années. Odeur insupportable. Pas vu non plus aucune alarme (type incendie) dans la chambre. La sdb, et pour un établissement affichant 4*: 1 seul rouleau de papier toilette mis à dispo, aucun échantillon douche/shampooing ; pour seul élément de toilette un bocal savon touchant à sa fin, des moisissures partout autour du lavabo et de la douche, un abattant wc cassé. Rebutant... TV: s'est allumé mais n'a jamais fonctionné. Aucun accès. Réception: ok à mon arrivée, mais le reste du temps, personne. J'ai croisé durant le séjour un client désespéré qui avait réservé et dont la clé laissée à dispo ne permettait pas d'accéder à sa chambre. Personne à la réception, personne qui ne lui répondait sur tel ni whatsapp. Malgré sa situation centrale, j'ai tout fait pour passer le moins de temps possible dans cet hôtel, juste dormir. Un cauchemar!!

A Deeply Disappointing Stay at Hamlet Hotel

We arrived at the hotel around 6:30 AM, it was closed and dark, and there was no one at the reception. We tried several times to reach the staff via the phone number provided, but no one answered. It wasn’t until 9 AM that any staff appeared. During this time, several guests came down to the reception wondering where breakfast was, as it was supposed to be served in the same room. When staff finally arrived, we were informed that check-in wouldn’t be possible until 2:30 PM, even though the booking site stated 1:30 PM. The room also showed signs of poor hygiene. The bathroom had such a strong odor of clogged drains that it was barely usable. The shower was moldy. The toilet lid was broken, and the seat was so loose it came off completely several times. There was even an old fake nail on the bathroom floor, which made us question whether any cleaning had been done at all. Additionally, the ceiling in the room had large damp stains, and the air conditioning didn’t work. One evening we noticed someone trying to enter our room. We thought it was an attempted break-in, but it turned out to be a poor guy who had arrived late and the staff had only left him a key without specifying a room number. In conclusion, this hotel is a sanitary hazard with serious security issues. The actual standard is far below the 3.5 stars listed on the booking site. The foul-smelling and dirty conditions make it undeserving of even a single star.

The property is in an excellent position, convenient for everything, the guy running it was very, very helpful throughout, if you want luxury this is not the place for you BUT we enjoyed it very much and would recommend this for anyone looking for a good base to get around. Would defo book again based on it the fact it met our needs and we had lovely time exploring and finding our way back easily 😊

Choosed the Hotel because it's right in the old town, so everything is walkable and compared to other hotels it was simply cheaper. Therefore not much expectations. Had a room on the last floor. Constantly tripping little water in the bathroom, so that the floor was always wet. In general pretty small room with a tiny bathroom. Not surprisingly in the old town. So enough for me solo travelling but for sure not a good fit for a couple or if you expect a bit more from a hotel.
