"My 3 friends and I had an amazing stay at Mainbrace. The home was beautiful and very tastefully decorated. It was very comfortable. The grounds were gorgeous, and we enjoyed so much time on the front porch. The location is very private and so close to the beach. We were anywhere we wanted to go in under 10 minutes with our golf cart. The host was super responsive and helpful. Housekeeping everyday was really nice. Thank you for a memorable vacation!"

"Room had safe that didn’t work, broken screen door, and uncomfortable bed. Cleaning staff had to be reminded to come, and basically made the bed and replaced towels. Dishes in the sink left dirty and little bugs crawling on them. Overpriced room but it is a great location"

"Enjoyable stay with disappointing experience. We stayed for 3 nights in March 2026. We enjoyed many aspects of our stay. In particular, the friendly staff, and delicious food at Ma Ruby’s. But, we had a very disappointing experience with our reservation and follow- up by the hotel manager. We made our reservation on Expedia in November, 2025. We paid for our room at that time. Upon arrival in March, we were shocked when told our reservation had not been noted. Our room was not available. Fortunately we had our confirmation information from Expedia. We were given another room and told it was an upgrade. The alternate room had a location right next to our bathroom, where staff would frequently hang out and talk. It was very awkward for us. After returning home, and investigating what had occurred, I became aware that the room we were given was not an upgrade, and actually was a lower cost than the room we paid for. I regret that this issue was not addressed by the receptionist, and that we were not compensated during our visit. I communicated with the manager, Juanita, about my concerns. I apologize for not addressing them while visiting. She responded 10 days later. Her message was friendly , she addressed my issues, and offered compensation. I thanked her, and sent our payment information. I have not received the compensation or any further follow- up from the manager, however in the 30 days after my email."

"The property is in a beautiful and unique location, but overall our stay did not meet expectations for the price paid. I would not stay here again.Our experience was impacted by a couple of major issues. The main house oven was not functional upon arrival, and the cottage oven was not reliable, requiring several hours to prepare meals. In practice, we did not have a functional oven during our stay. This was a major issue for our group as we had planned meals based on having two fully operational kitchens.Additionally, the water on the island is not potable, which was not disclosed in advance. We discovered this upon arrival due to the noticeable smell and taste and had to arrange drinking water at our own expense. Several members of our group also experienced skin irritation, which we believe may have been related to the water conditions.While staff were helpful in assisting with logistics and attempted to fix the oven issues, neither problem was disclosed prior to arrival or resolved during our stay despite being raised immediately. The host did accommodate early check-in and two additional guests, as our boat could not be accommodated at the dock. We appreciated those accommodations, but this did not offset the overall impact to our stay.Given the price, we expected a much higher level of functionality and transparency. I strongly recommend confirming all major amenities and the water situation in detail prior to booking, as this stay did not deliver for us."

"We loved our stay at Jewelbox! It comfortably accommodated 3 adults and 2 children and was in the perfect location on the island (bonus: it's just around the corner from Arthur's Bakery and right next to a small grocery store). The kitchen was well stocked to make and have meals at the house and the house had everything we needed for our four night stay. The host, Nalini, quickly responded to any questions we had and we appreciated the housekeeper, Monique, checking in on us. "

"This was my 3rd time on the island and the first with a big group. I had my heart set on Yellowbird and it could not have been more perfect. It was a birthday girls trip and we all had our own rooms. We did breakfast everyday at the house, laid by the pool, was so nice to just walk to dinner every night, minutes away is the beach on the golf cart. Abigail, Lysa, Tavaro, and Mano helped with any request we had and immediately. The house is original so it has quirks but that’s part of the charm! "
