Tucked away in the heart of Argyll Forest Park, in Whistlefield, Ash Lodge is a cosy log cabin offering a peaceful escape in the stunning Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. With breathtaking views of the surrounding natural woodlands, this charming retreat is perfect for couples, nature lovers, and outdoor adventurers.

Wake up to panoramic woodland views, unwind in your private outdoor hot tub, and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the forest. Whether you're hiking scenic trails, cycling through the park, fishing on the Loch Eck, or simply relaxing on the covered balcony deck with a glass of wine.

Living Space: Step into a warm and welcoming space, thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. An open-plan dining and living area with comfortable seating, electric heating, Smart TV, and Wi-Fi.

Modern amenities: A well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, air fryer and fridge.

Comfortable bedroom: A bright and comfy double bedroom with fitted wardrobe and mirror.

Bathroom facilities: With a walk-in shower cubicle, wash basin, and toilet.

Outdoor bliss: Step outside to your private gated decked balcony, complete with an inviting hot tub and outdoor furniture. (Steps down from deck to hot tub).

Dine alfresco: Whether you're sipping wine under the stars or enjoying a morning breakfast with birdsong, Ash Lodge offers the perfect setting to unwind.

Dog-Friendly: Bring your well behaved furry friend along! Note maximum two small dogs allowed. £25 per pet per stay , or one large dog only. Just bring their towels and bedding. Secured gated deck to keep your pet safe. If unsure please enquire prior to booking.

Nature lovers: Watch for bird life, red squirrels and local wildlife in the surrounding forest.
Outdoor adventures: From your doorstep, explore a world of outdoor adventure, hike or cycle through scenic forest trails. Fish or kayak on Loch Eck. Not suitble to walk to Loch Eck.

Nearby amenities: The coastal town of Dunoon is just a 20-minute drive away, offering cafés, pubs, and restaurants, craft shops, galleries, and local produce. Supermarkets and essential services.

Ash Lodge

Lodge was great however the shower wasn't working, no hot water. We raised the issue with the property manager and to his credit he responded very quickly can came to the property to see if he could fix the issue. He couldn't but after a few calls advised that someone would be arriving to fix the problem and we would be contacted. We never received any call or update so decided to cut our holiday short and leave. The bathroom sink also started to leak which restricted where we could wash. Its been nearly a week since we left and still no correspondence, poor customer service.

Ash Lodge- great location

A great location for exploring the wonderful Cowal Peninsula and the Arrochar Alps. Cosy, peaceful and warm cabin, and everything functioned well. No view, but surrounded by lovely trees and 10 steps up the path you are greeted by the fabulous aspect of the surrounding hills.

It was a beautiful property very quiet and peaceful with lively scenery around. There was an inn a 2 minute walk away which had lively food. I would highly recommend this lodge to others.

Great experience! We will definitely be returning. Fantastic location, great communication from Iain and my dog loved it too! The accomodation had everything you could ask for, including a dishwasher!!

Fine lodge for relaxing

The lodge has everything you'd need, and is situated in a nice green environment. Like other reviews already suggested, it is part of a lodge 'park', and is quite close to the street. Because of that, it's not very quiet, but otherwise fine. When we arrived, the lodge wasn't cleaned, but that was rectified quickly after giving Chris a call. We can recommend the Whistlefield Inn, which has very friendly personnel. The Benmore Botanical Garden just around the corner is also really worth the visit.
