“This is a wonderful place to stay. Spacious, quiet, well located; this house has everything you’d need for a McCloud getaway. Well appointed kitchen, great bathroom, comfortable spots all throughout the house to tuck yourself away and fixate on the great forest views. I loved the big porch in the front with its comfortable outdoor furniture. Also, right in the front, if you stand in the no traffic road, there’s Mt Shasta grinning down at you. A magical place to stay.”

“We really enjoyed this retreat. It was exceptionally clean & very well thought out and private. Sitting out on the deck over looking the seasonal lake, while listening to the songs of the waterfowl & Steelers Jays… And watching the ducks and geese with those little fluff ball babies waddle up to the grass area of the yard was a real treat.. We never once clicked on the TV as the view has everything we needed. Very comfortable & peaceful indeed.”

From the amazing setting and views, to the ever-changing mountain, to the wonderful outdoor seating areas, to the custom touches (the booth!) and family art, to the wildlife (frogs! Sandhill cranes!), to the enclosed yard for our pup, the house could not be better situated or appointed. Just being there made our stress melt away. “The house was comfortable and we enjoyed the video game table and the wide variety of interesting books and music. I wouldn't call the waterbed waveless (we've had 2 waterbeds), and we found this one a bit sloshy. Used the wood stove heater for 2 days but I'm sensitive to smoke so we used the electric heater for the last 2 days. The town of Dunsmuir didn't offer much in the way of food or entertainment. Most of the restaurants we had researched prior to our visit were no longer open for……

“The place was very clean and well maintained. We felt the place was. Better than how it looks in the photos. Bed was very comfortable and have a lot of space for family and friends. Pretty close to center of the town. We really liked the place. However there is some scope of improvement specially the place need a dishwasher. The microwave is pretty small and need upgrade.. Also, as another family mentioned in their comment,the knife need to be changed. They are not sharp. Apart from this……
