“Standards have fallen at the Westleton Crown. Outside, several car park bays were inexplicably cordoned off so there was a shortage of available spaces. Inside there was a bucket catching a leak from a skylight in the main dining room. The corridor, staircase and bedroom carpets are dirty and worn. The seat in our WC fell off. “Lovely hotel in a great location. Friendly staff and very clean. Good value for money. Beds and rooms were small and breakfast service slow (but we were warned of this beforehand!). We had city view rooms and they were nicer than we expected, as there was a field and partial sea view anyway. There is no air con but good quality fans were provided as standard, as well as a single duvet upon request. “Positive: Clean room and comfortable bed Very good breakfasts Negative: No hot water for the whole 5 days I was there, though promised each day. Shower attachment broken so a (cold) shower was only possible by holding the shower head. The stand of one of the fans was broken The wifi in the room did not work Evening meals were not available as stated on the website - MUCH more limited menu than on their website and not available on all the evenings stated. I chose this accommodation having……
