Capel Seion, Dylife This former chapel has been sensitively converted into a domestic house. It stands on its own at one end of the tiny village with a handful of cottages between it and the Star Inn at the other end. Once it was part of a thriving mining community of over 1000 population; in the 19th Century at the height of the lead mining here, there were four inns, several chapels, a church and a school - now nearly all disappeared.

A good stay and possibly the best breakfast ever plenty of choice and the cooked breakfast was piping hot on the negative side we booked this hotel as it advertised parking which it has but they didn’t say is it’s limited parking for possibly 6 maybe 7 cars only and on a first come basis

Room was fine bed comfortable and nice to have teas and coffee in the room. Although there is a restaurant where we had food which was well priced and nice the area was very cold. We didn’t stay for a desert. Not very appealing for a bar area to sit and relax. Parking good and free.

Initial impressions were good , but I was disappointed when entering the room unfortunately. The problem with a kitchen and bedroom in the same room is the occasional cooking grease smell from previous use whilst laying in bed on an evening.
