“This home was so well maintained. I love the little things like having everything labeled and instructions for the heating and cooling system. We also appreciated the quality of the kitchen/cooking tools (pots/pans etc.) and the mattress. This house lacked absolutely nothing! The owner kept great contact with us. “This vacation stay was a celebration for the 70th birthday of one of 6 sisters. We arrived on Memorial Day and left on the following Friday. We did go into Galena every day for part of the day but spent much of our time chatting, making puzzle and watching "chick flicks". It was a great way to spend time with sisters that I love dearly. The sleeping space was great and we appreciated having three separate baths. Would definitely consider a return trip!”

“The property was absolutely beautiful and the location was exceptionally private. My husband and I stayed four nights, mainly as an opportunity to relax, reset and enjoy each other, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. “We had a perfect weekend for three friends from grade school to reconnect. The weather was perfect and the house was perfect. There were three bedrooms on three different floors, a deck to view nature, and a large kitchen table to eat, play games and laugh. The host was wonderful and sent suggestions ahead of time. Their home was well stocked and very comfortable. We had a picnic at Galena vineyards, shopped main street, ate at Galena brewery and did the Goat trek! We would love to come back……

“We brought two of our grandsons ( 9 & 11 ) to the cabin to stay and do a little fishing and playing on the Beach. I would consider it as Glamping. Glamorous camping lol. Grandma and grandpa got comfy beds to sleep in and the grandsons had a blast exploring, fishing Just hanging out at the beach and playing volleyball. It was a win-win for me. This is our 4th Visit to the cabin, but the first time we have ever brought anybody else with us. I thoroughly enjoy having my morning coffee by the fire……

“Since it was the Marriott the property has really improved. There is a bar now and a sumptuous breakfast was served. There is now an elevator where there wasn't one before. The beds are quite comfortable and there is housekeeping each day. The staff was quite courteous, except the checkout person was quite cold. i wanted to talk about our great stay but I don't think I would have been too well received. ”
