"The property is very nice and clean and close to lots of shops and stores and places to eat. The staff was nice and always had time to answer questions. Breakfast was good loved the coffee and bagels the best."

"You can tell by appearance that the property is dated, but functional. It just needs a few updates, maybe walk in showers for guest with no children and new bathtubs throughout. We had a great time with our family in the pool and hot tub, just needed more towels on the weekend. The breakfast could have been better 😋 All and all we had a great time in the Duluth area exploring! The staff was very helpful with extra blankets and pillows for our room."

"We just got home from from our stay and I wanted to make sure and write a review & recommend staying at the Jay Cooke Cottage! To start the hosts Mike & Andrea were very responsive & offered suggestions for Local restaurants while we were on our way up. The Cottage itself has a fully stocked Kitchen including spices. The outside seating around the campfire is great and they have a large amount dry wood for a small fire in the fire pit. It was soo nice to just unplug from our phones and be in the moment. We haven't sat down and watched a movie in a long time and the DVD collection was Awesome! The large yard is beautiful & our dogs enjoyed sniffing around, lounging in the sun on the porch & hearing/watching the Squirrels messing around at the edge of the woods. The weather was beautiful and we did an early morning Sauna, which hit the spot on a 50 degree early morning in July! This is a perfect location for hiking in the park and enjoying its beauty, But also just a quick jaunt to Duluth to see beautiful Lake Superior and check out the restaurants!"
