Nestled on, what just might be, one of Shenandoah’s most picture-perfect sites, the Little Mountain Farmhouse Estate is now being offered for short-term rentals. The incredible views of its surrounding splendor combine to create a true realm of both luxury and serenity. Its towering gables are enhanced with high-quality craftsman trim work contrasted with an almost countless number of windows that have been strategically placed throughout the abode to take in every breathtaking view at every angle. From its huge Virginia-styled wrap-around porch to its spacious turret wing that creates vantage-point sunrooms on all three floors, there are plenty of spaces to kick back, relax, and enjoy the various viewpoints. From its elegantly appointed formal rooms in the front section to the open and spacious casual areas found towards the rear section, the main level features hardwood floor with area rugs, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a sunroom with 180 degrees breathtaking views, a family room with coffered ceiling and a smart TV where you can log in to your apps and enjoy your favorite movies or shows, a cozy dining room, a multi-function study with board games as well as a full bath and a half bath. The service wing features a full mudroom where you have plenty of space to remove boots, shoes and any other outwear items. The primary suite is a one-of-a-kind tribute to its casual style luxury, enhanced with its own turreted vista room, a double-sided fireplace for display only, a smart TV, a grand bathroom with a large soaking tub surrounded by windows, and a spacious walk-in closet. There are four bedrooms with private or adjacent baths, as well as a bright daylight lower-level multi-functional recreation-gaming carpeted area that spans more than forty feet showcasing air hockey and ping-pong tables, and a seating area with a smart TV. The master chef’s kitchen is truly impressive with its huge and open dimensions, central chef’s island with bar stools, contemporary layout, and state-of-the-art amenities featuring granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances with a convection oven perfect for baking! The coffee station features a dual Keurig K-Cup pod and a carafe coffee maker with a fully filled coffee and decaf K-Cup carousel. Don't feel like cooking? No worries, you can find plenty of food minutes away including Woodstock Garden Cafe, Spring House Tavern, Cracker Barrel, Jersey Mike's, Domino's Pizza, Subway, Starbucks, and more! With its three-car garage, the estate is located within hiking distance of George Washington National Forest. If you explore the valley, you will discover within the hour several caverns including Luray Caverns, the largest caverns in the eastern USA and a national landmark, with some of the most spectacular creations such as Giant's Hall, a vast expansive chamber decorated by predominately golden columns 10-stories tall, Shenandoah Caverns, the only caverns in Virginia with elevator service to its 17 underground rooms and its Rainbow Lake with iridescent drip formations of bright colors, Skyline Caverns, famous for its Anthrodites that radiate spike formations resembling flowers, Endless Caverns which are mapped for more than 5 miles, and Grand Caverns rated #2 in the nation by Parade magazine's science editor on various physical aspects. You will find many nearby wineries including The Winery at Kindred Pointe, Wolf Gap Vineyard and Winery, Shenandoah Vineyards, Heritage Mill Wines 1848, Third Hill Winery, and Muse Vineyards. The farmhouse is 30 minutes from Bryce Resort where you can do activities all year round. This four-season sports and recreation resort features winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, ice skating, the Horst Locher Snowsports School, the highly acclaimed Bryce Bike Park with beginner, intermediate, expert trails and lift access open into November (you can take a lesson with TakeAim Cycling to keep growing your skills late in the season), a PGA-rated 18-hole golf course, and Lake Laura, a 45-acre spring-fed lake with beaches, a picnic area, snack bar, and opportunities to canoe, paddleboat, and paddleboard. This is a beautiful, secluded piece of heaven! We had a great weekend with our friends enjoying the hot tub, fire pit and the Edinburg area! The owner was very responsive to any question posed to him! I would absolutely come back to enjoy this wonderful home in the future!
