Great open spaces. Beds not very comfortable—-especially king bed. Great screened in porch and deck for watching ocean. Bathrooms were clean but coffee maker was very dirty and required our cleaning it thoroughly before use. Ice maker on fridge not working & maintenance failed to repair even though they said they did. House could use some better maintenance but overall a great place. Contact person about issues we had was very nice, quick to respond, & very easy to work with.

Girls Over 40 Trip

Cousin gathering

House met all our needs for our 3 generations. Great view from top deck, lots of room to spread out or gather together. Very easy access to beach, groceries and local restaurants. We loved it!

President's Day weekend

The place was nice; however, paper products were in very short supply. The freezer part of the refrigerator was stuck, meaning it was impossible, at times, to open. The ice maker was working too well. A maintenance person did come out to fix the problem, but it arose again the next day.

Birthday 🥳 Trip

No Sheets on beds after I paid for them. Then she gets back to me saying she couldn't find payment So please keep check on that..... They didnt even have toilet paper or soap in the restrooms so bring your own. We had to go out to buy it......... Wish they had some type of entertainment like a pool table or video games upstairs. But over all we enjoy the trip......

Sea View in October

My family spent a week here. The house layout was fantastic! Really nice to have two living room areas on separate floors. We took a few specialty kitchen items like pizza pan and muffin tin but otherwise kitchen was well stocked. Very nice screened porch. Nice sized bedrooms. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location, nice house

If you rent this house, be sure you check your emails. They do not communicate via VRBO. Huge mix-up because I was checking VRBO and not my emails. Also, be sure you read that all linens (sheets and towels) are an additional cost. Really felt for the cost of the stay and the cleaning fee, linens should have been included. However, once there all was good. Beds are a little squeaky and uncomfortable. Dining room table is sticky with something on it. But overall we had a great stay and had fun!

We enjoyed our time here very much. Some things need updated ex. the kitchen table is in rough shape. But overall would stay here again nice large house with so much space!!! Nice views of the ocean from the decks and a couple of the bedrooms.

Loved Edisto

First time renting in Edisto. Loved the town and beach and this house was great for my family. Rental company was very easy to work with. Very large house which would be good for two families. All amenities.

Great place for family and friends

Great house and exactly as listed. We brought a fun group of friends and family and this house was perfect for everything we wanted to do. We would definitely come back for our next vacation.

Wonderful Space

Beautiful property that needs some cosmetic repairs. Although the carpets were stained the kitchen cabinets and floor worn, shower curtains falling off it worked well for us as I was not constantly reminding the toddlers and teens not to spill and to be careful. They could do no damage! Loved the two separate living rooms, front porch and screened in porch. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals for 14. Great location and easy access to the beach, I did not bring any of this to the attention of the rental company as I suspect they had been informed in the past. To their credit they did tell me about the carpets that are to be replaced at the end of the season. We had a fabulous time !

Seaview

My whole family stayed here and had a great time here. The house was beautiful but we LOVED the view from both porches. We only ate one meal indoors. The beach was super close too. We rented kayaks and paddle boards, brought them to the south side of the island and saw sea turtles and so many dolphins. Wow!

Not up to rental standard

The pictures are EXTREMELY misleading. House was so dirty and grimy. It was so bad we didn’t even want to eat out of the kitchen (that ended up having ants) The floors in the bedrooms were carpet and were stained so bad and nasty that my husband and I wouldn’t even walk around without shoes. The couch is extremely worn out and the pillows are nasty. One of the pillows in the bedroom was so old it was deteriorating on the inside and yellow. The outdoor furniture is extremely rusted. This house has potential to be nice but seems as though it has not been very well kept up. For the money you pay this is NOT worth it. I’m glad my son wasn’t there because I wouldn’t have wanted him running around or bathing there. Thankfully the company it was rented through was very kind and moved us to a new cleaner house very quickly.

Great Big House

Great big house with a lovely living room and kitchen. Comfortably slept 15 and very short walk to the beach. A couple little restaurants in driving or biking distance. One restaurant in walking distance with a cute little ice cream parlor. Beach wasn’t crowded at all in September but there were a lot of people fishing. House was clean. Key box entry was simple. A screened patio was nice for dinner and an upstairs patio was perfect for stargazing over the water at night. Lots of parking space too and a great outdoor shower with hot water. Beach tap water isn’t usually great but this was utterly undrinkable. Brackish and slimy. But it’s probably like that on the whole island since they served us bottled water at the restaurants too. It would have been nice to have a recycling bin for all the water bottles we went through. Nice cool air conditioning. Beautiful island to adventure around with Spanish moss. Overall, a really great house for a big group.

The house was in a great location. It had everything we needed!

There were a few issues we had. The refridgerator light went out the first day. The downstairs tv was small (we already knew from other reviews) and would go in and out. The dryer made the most awful noise ever!! A tub in a downstairs room had a crack (that had been repaired before) that leaked underneath the house! The jets in the master tub also did not work. I called on Monday to report the problems (except the jets) and was told someone would be out. When we were packing the truck to leave, a gentleman areived to fix the cracked tub. Other than these issues, we really enjoyed our stay!

Much larger than pictures show

This was our first VRBO rental and I have to say I was pleased. We took our mother's remains out to sea on Mother's Day and this home was more than accommodating for our entire family. With all the coming and going of family from OR, SC, FL & MA there was always enough room for everyone. The kitchen was much larger than the pictures show. I never felt like I was tripping over anyone. The quick access to the beach across the street was wonderful. Location was perfect for us. I loved all the porches. We will be back to visit Edisto for sure.

Very clean and space was great for visiting and eating together.

4 families and they each enjoyed having their own bathroom and did not have to share. The upper deck had a great view of the ocean and was a wonderful relaxing time with a glass of wine and nice breeze blowing. Kitchen space was great with 3 females working at one time. lol Great memories and relaxing time.

Great spacious areas and rooms for family to enjoy together!

Good experience overall. All things furnished were nice and quality. Only complaint we had was trying to watch college football in the family room on a tiny tiny television (less than 32 inches) was a hassle. But other than a tiny tv in a huge room the stay and home were great!!
