「My friends and I planned a one night getaway to meet up since we all live in different states. This was a central location - which we booked over a week in advance. As we were about to arrive I messaged to get the arrival information (mind you I’ve received all accurate emails up until check in : confirmation, about your trip, “here’s your keys”) and the host said it was not available and cancelled it. Leaving us with no where to stay (everything had a 2 night minimum or was booked!) and no...

「Lovely build-out, thoughtful details all around the house. Beautiful spot! Appliances feel quite outdated though, and many dishes in the cabinets were dirty. 」

「The property is located on the outskirts of Tannersville. The location is very close to hiking including the iconic Kaaterskill Falls. Unfortunately, the location is overshadowed by a very disappointing property. Its essentially run down motel in the back of a closed restaurant with a for sale sign out front. The building was not very clean and no staff were on site. The pictures are also a bit misleading as the restaurant is now closed and the grounds have deteriorated since the closure. The...

「Sure looked and sounded a lot better in the online description. The one good thing about my stay was the excellent communication with the host. The rest, well, I’ll try to stay polite and just list the facts. 1. There’s a huge For Sale sign out front and an abandoned restaurant next to the rooms. 2. Room needs updating badly.3. Windows don’t open or close. The hardware is either broken or frozen. 4. One window stays wide open, it has no screen so I had to jury rig a towel over the open window so...
