「The owners and the lady behind the bar were super friendly and very helpful. The bed was comfy, bedding smelt amazing!! Bathroom very clean. We went to see Peter Kay at the Sheffield utilta, was a 15 min taxi from the pub. Would highly recommend 」

「I loved my stay here for the week and everything was amazing in every aspect apart from the doors... Oh my god!... Every door was equipped with self closers which is great but they were not calibrated properly. This meant that every single door slammed every time someone used one and it was incredibly frustrating when someone was using them often into late night/early morning. Apart from that then everything about the stay was wonderful in every way.」

「Loved Staying here before the theme park Season really kicked off. My only issues are that checking out its best to do after 7.00. due to needing to phone to unlock the main doors if you require to leave before 7.00 Checking Inn at a late time can be problematic due to the main Gate connects to someones Mobile and Signal in the area is extremely poor」

「This was the first time that we had stayed at the Holiday Inn in Barnsley. Although we used to live in the town so we had visited the hotel many times for functions and meals . The hotel was clean but in need of a refurbish. However the staff more than made up for any downsides, they delivered exemplary service. 」

「We paid £45 for a Sunday night & although the hotel is a little bit tired, for the price it was great! Clean, comfy bed & the staff are lovely. Didn’t book breakfast as we had to leave really early, but what we saw of it it looked great.」

「The room pretty much ticked all the boxes for me. everything in very good condition, well maintained, very clean room and bathroom. Very reasonably priced. Bath/shower, small touches like biscuit with the tea/coffee kit, and real soap, no nasty squirty dispensers. It is over a pub, so some conversations audible until 11pm, but not to a problem level, and no restaurant, but plenty of food options within easy walking distance. Pub looked fine as well.」
