Elverum is a traditional Norwegian town and a municipality of the same name, located within the scenic south of Hedmark county. Considering it is a relatively small place, Elverum is certainly blessed with more than its fair share of attractions. Winter brings a whole new range of things to do. Arrive in March and you will see the famous Birkebeiner ski race. Drive to Elverum from Oslo and you can reach your destination within 2 hours. The town also has a train station and good bus connections to the capital. Come in winter to see the area covered in thick snow, or in summer to make the most of the great hiking routes all around the town.
