Great property and excellent hosts

A fantastic property with great facilities. Claude and Sylviane were so welcoming and helpful. Brilliant hosts. The kids loved the pool and all the games. The outdoor kitchen area was perfect. Location is good, an easy walk to the town for shops and lots to do in the area.

Fantastic stay at the old mill

Claude and Sylviane were great hosts, very welcoming, attentive and helpful. They wanted to make sure you had everything you needed even buying paddle pools for the baby. The villa was beautiful, well equipped and safe. It was very close to the supermarket, bakery and train station, all of which were in walking distance. Plenty of games to play in the villa for a family and plenty of places to sit if you need a quiet place. Would highly recommend.

Perfect week in a beautiful villa

Fourteen of us spent a fabulous week in Le Moulin Vieux. It was well equipped inside and out, cool inside during some very hot days, had a great swimming pool and plenty of outdoor space. Claude and Sylviane were very welcoming.

Perfect for a large family

This property is beautiful and spacious. The pool is wonderful. Our grandchildren really enjoyed it. There are basically 2 kitchens, one inside and one outside - all very convenient. We recommend this property. It is especially comfortable for a large, multi-generational family

A fantastic week in a great villa!

We spent a lovely week with our extended family of 16 people in the great mansion of Claude & Sylviane. The welcome was tremendous, everything was spotless and well-prepared. A truly amazing spot.

The location was very central,the breakfast each morning was delicious with fresh baked goods,accommodations were very private and comfortable and the outdoor area with the pool was perfect for happy hours and relaxing. We loves the Outlook kitchen and the pool. It was very private, the beds Werge great and beautiful bedrooms. Lots og kitchenware for 15 people. Cozy livingroom. We could walk to the village. We loved it, the owners were very kind and helpful.

Absolutely Wonderful!

A Perfect Holiday

We were a large family, over three generations and with small children, and Le vieux Moulin was the perfect house for us. Most of the bedrooms were spacious, with their own bathrooms and air-conditioning and there was a marvellous outdoor area near the pool, equipped with enough crockery and cutlery for an army. The house is well situated to amenities and within striking distance of attractions.Claude and Sylviane were very welcoming and I would not hesitate to recommend Le Vieux Moulin.

Great vacation

Dear Claude and Sylvaine, Thank you for being such a good host and letting us stay at your wonderful house, Moulin Vieux. The house was fully equipped and perfect for a big family vacation. It was only a short walk to the grocery store, the bakery (Calvino with very tasty bread) and the train station. We enjoyed every minute of our stay even though the temperature was way above 40 degrees, lucky for us that we could cool down in the pool. Regard Best The family of 10 from Sweden

Wonderful Stay at the COMH

Our hosts were wonderful over the entire three week stay. They were attentive to our every need/want. They were close, but not too close. All my guests were welcome and comfortable during our stay were we saw three groups of family and friends come for a week at a time. The charming old mill house, that we call COMH, was centrally located with easy access to Avignon and the rest of Provence. My only sadness is our time came to an end and we needed to say “au revoir” to our host, and new friends in Provence.

Relaxing week in Vaucluse

The property was spacious with all the commodities, for cooking, washing, leisure, and storage. Some of my friends worked from home during there stay and internet was sufficient, although not as good in every single room. The supermarket is at walking distance, perfect for supplies. And many touristic areas are writhing driving distance (I did Avignon, pont du gard, châteauneuf du pape, gordes, l’isle sur sorgue, abbaye de senanque, Uzes, and Saint Remy de Provence without problem

Superb accommodation in interesting area

This was the perfect villa for our large family group. The rooms were immaculate and spotlessly clean and the property is spacious and well equipped making it ideal for a party aged from 2 to 81. The hosts were helpful about the local area and very welcoming. The pool was an excellent size and we enjoyed the pétanque court and ping pong table. We had an exceptionally hot week and there is plenty of shade around the property (including shaded parking). We also benefited from air conditioned bedrooms! Day trips to Avignon, opera in Orange, Splashworld for the children and village trips and wine tasting meant there was something for everyone. A great week!

A fabulous vacation!

I love this property and its wonderful hosts! I have booked it twice with friends and we all loved the experience. The hosts are so welcoming - we had a problem with the train strike this year and had to change our date of arrival to the day prior. Claude and Sylviane were fabulous and even prepared a gastronomic feast for our arrival that evening. The Old Mill is beautiful with plenty of space, a lovely swimming pool, close to the village and a train station with quick access to Avignon. The description on the site is absolutely accurate and the property is very clean and well maintained but with old style French charm. I heartily recommend this property to my friends and family.

Magnifique!

As there were 12 of us, 3 generations of 2 families, we booked the whole house as a self-catering property, meaning we didn't get the delicious breakfasts everyone has raved about! We all agreed that this was the best holiday home we had stayed in, having everything we needed to enjoy a fabulous fortnight away. Rooms are clean, stylish and comfortable and the outside area is ideal for family relaxation and fun and games. Claude and Sylviane are a lovely, friendly, helpful couple, for whom nothing was too much trouble. They made the holiday perfect. Loads to do in the surrounding area, fantastic bakery a few minutes walk away, supermarket a few minutes further. Would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Claude and Sylviane!

Moulin Vieux is a beautiful farmhouse tucked away in the small town of Entraigues. There are enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate everyone without feeling cramped. The outdoor property is fantastic with a full kitchen, patios, pool, and gardens. Most of our time at the house was spent here. Claude and Sylviane are lovely, warm and inviting. They were immediately responsive from my first contact. And they were available when we reached out. In fact Claude drove my daughter and her family to the TGV station in Avignon at the last minute. And finally, to add to the atmosphere, Their son Alex is a fabulous chef who prepared two delicious dinners for us . All in all, 2 weeks of total pleasure.

Fantastic stay

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Moulin vieux. It was a wonderful place to base our exploration of southern France. The house is perfect for big families or friends vacationing together. There are plenty of space, inside and out. We were especially positively surprised by the size and standard of the rooms: many of them with their own bathroom and shower. They were beautifully furnishes and spotless clean. Two of the rooms wore though without air condition, making it a little to hot for us northerners during the highlight of the summer:) But rather than that the rooms were perfect for our needs. Sylviane and Claude are the perfect hosts. Really friendly and always very helpful. They gave good recommendations for activities and sights around the area, and wore very service minded. A big thumbs up also for their good English-skills, which made communication easy during our entire stay. Thank you for a great stay!

Surpassed our expectations

When booking a place to stay there is always a danger that somewhere is not quite as good as it's portrayed in words and pictures. This is not the case with the Old Mill. A group of us have just returned from a 2 week stay there and everything was superb. The pool area is fabulous with lots of space and tables for outdoor entertaining, the lounge is comfortable and cosy (with a huge TV for watching sport), the kitchen has all mod cons and the top floor bedrooms are luxurious. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful in terms of advising how to get the best out of this beautiful area of France. I really hope that one day we will get the chance to go back there. Would I recommend the Moulin Vieux? Absolutely, without hesitation. Entraigues itself is a pleasant little village with plenty of bakeries and a couple of small restaurants, all of which are good. The station is a short walk away for trains in to Avignon (centre and TGV) and close to the next station along (Sorgues) is a very high quality restaurant called La Table. All in all, this is a really cracking place to stay.

Perfect house for an extended family or group of friends to explore Provence

We spent 7 fantastic days at this gem of a house. I was worried that the pictures may not live up to the actual house and property, but they certainly did. What cannot be captured in pictures is the warmth and hospitality of the home owners. They welcomed us like we were friends coming for a visit! It is an ideal location if you want to explore the highlights of Provence. We took day trips from the house every day and Claude and Sylviane gave us lots of good information and advice. At the end of each day, it was delightful to come back to this relaxing, beautiful setting and let the kids swim, while the adults had a glass of rose by the pool. All of the bedrooms were a comfortable temperature, despite the outside day temps being about 90 degrees Fahrenheit most of the week. I would enthusiastically recommend this house to any friend! Claude and Sylviane go above and beyond in so many ways and you can trust them to follow through on everything. We were all sad to leave, but have new wonderful family memories! Here is a list of all the areas that we were able to visit during the week and none were more than an hour's drive. Absolutely fabulous, amazing property, generous and hospitable hosts, I definitely recommend it!

From my initial request to book this property to leaving sadly on the final day, the experience of staying at Le Moulin Vieux was wonderful. Claude rang me as soon as I booked to check my requirements - I wanted to hold an art retreat for 6 women at the property. We talked through my needs and how to get from the Avignon TGV station to the property, the closeness of the village and the train line that runs direct to Avignon. The property was all that was promised with lovely grounds, a superb swimming pool and patio area where we could paint. Plenty of room for all of us to find spaces for ourselves. Claude and Sylvane welcomed us with strawberries and wine and familiarised us with the house and security. Inside the house was beautifully clean and well furnished - it is spacious and very comfortable. At one stage I had a drama with a flat battery on our hire car - Claude and Sylvane were enormously helpful in sorting out the problem for me. The local village is close enough to walk to and there are supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants and a bank - we often walked in for a morning coffee. There is a lovely river close by and the area has wineries and interesting places to visit. Overall the experience was wonderful and all of the women who attended my art retreat wanted to stay longer and would recommend Le Moulin Vieux to their friends and family.

Beautiful House and Amazing Hosts

We rented the Moulin Vieux for a week in July. We were 3 families of 4, including 6 adults and 6 kids (ages 10-13). The Moulin Vieux is very spacious and has 7 bedrooms, so there was plenty of rooms. All but two of the bedrooms have air-conditioning, but the one room we used without air conditioning did have a fan, so that was helpful. The highlight of the property is the outdoor pool and eating area. Kids loved the pool which is very large and we ate outside in the covered porch area when we dined at the house. There is also a ping pong table which we used frequently. Claude and Sylviane are wonderful hosts. When booking the property, they always responded to emails promptly, and while we were at Moulin Vieux, they went out of their way to make sure everything was as it should be. We hired a chef (Lucas) for 3 nights while we were there and the meals were wonderful. They were also very helpful in recommending places to visit and Claude helped drive us back to Avignon TGV to take the train back to Paris. The location is great for making day trips to Avignon, local wineries, Pont du Gard, etc. The local town (Entraigues-sur-la-Sorgue) is a 5 minute walk and there is a bakery and grocery store there which we frequented. Overall, we would highly recommend this property. Thank you to Claude and Sylviane for a great week in Provence!!

Beautiful and Peaceful

Our stay at Claude and Sylviane's House was amazing. We rented the whole house for our large group of 15. All of the bedrooms were beautiful with high end en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen living and dining areas were newly remodeled, very large and comfortable. The outdoor area was equally as nice. The outdoor areas feature a garden with fruit trees, lavender and areas to play soccer, basketball and pétanque. On the other side of the house are the pool, outdoor covered kitchen and dining, and a large fire place. There is also a car port with a ping pong table. There was something for everyone at Le Moulin Vieux. Claude and Sylviane could not have been more accommodating. Claude picked a group of us up at the train station in Avignon and led our group on the 20 minute ride back to the house. Once there he arranged for dinner for us on the first night. The following day Claude and Sylviane gave us the best summary of where to go in Provence. This helped us greatly to narrow down our day trips to the must see villages and landmarks. Claude also supplied us with new soccer balls, basketballs, and ping pong equipment as well as making sure that the pool and all other amenities were working well. The area around Le Moulin Vieux is equally as beautiful as the property itself. Just outside the front gate is the river Sorgue. There is a wooded walking path along the Sorgue that eventually leads to a quiet road surrounded by farmland with mountain views. This made for amazing walks and bike rides. Within 2 blocks of the property is a bakery with very good baguettes and pastries and rotisserie chicken and pork on Sunday's. There is also a small market and large grocery store less than a mile from the property. The House is far enough removed from the village center that it is very quiet. Provence itself is beautiful. At Claude and Sylviane's recommendation we visited at least 10 villages including: Gordes, Arle, Le Beaux, St. Remy de Provence, Avignon, Velaron. All of the recommended villages were well worth visiting. Overall Le Moulin Vieux should be at the top of anyone's list when looking for a luxury property centrally located for day trips or a place to stay and relax all day. The property was beautiful, the attention we received was excellent and the location can't be beat.
