Nice house in beautiful setting, BUT…

This was not the house we booked, but this one was offered when the original house was damaged in the recent tornado in the area. I was very confused when contacted by Vacasa about this. Who is Vacasa? I thought I contracted with VRBO. Anyway, the house was nice and roomy, was right on the lake with a boat dock and kayak to use. We noticed within a few hours that the house had a bad odor, especially in areas close to the garage. We looked in the garage and found a huge stack of full trash bags! We immediately contacted Vacasa. They said they would handle it, but they did nothing. We also got bites on our bodies that were not mosquitos. Could have been fleas as it is a pet friendly house. Or bedbugs??? Overall, our family had a fun vacation.

Nice clean home to relax by the lake and get away.

Great place for peace and quiet of the woods to just relax, sit on the deck, listen to the sounds of nature and watch the leaves change color.

Nice home with lake access

We enjoyed the views of the lake from the house, but didn't take advantage of the lake access as we joined other family members at a private cabin in the area--we took full advantage of their dock and swimming area. The home was roomy enough for our group of 12. We're giving it a 4 instead of a 5 because trash from a previous guest was still in the garage causing it to smell pretty bad.
