"We had a wonderful two night stay with Debbie and Alan while we were in the area for my cousin’s wedding. Debbie was an incredibly warm and welcoming host and we really enjoyed talking with her each morning. The breakfasts were outstanding! Generous portions and absolutely delicious. The breakfast burrito and homemade hash browns were some of the best I’ve ever had. Their home is beautiful and perfectly nestled into the landscape- very Frank Lloyd Wright. Alan designed and built the home himself, and we felt fortunate to stay in such a beautiful, artfully crafted place and to meet the architect himself. Alan always greeted us with a kind smile in the morning and Debbie made us feel completely at home. Between the hospitality, the amazing breakfasts, the peaceful setting, and the beautiful house, this was such a memorable stay. We would absolutely stay here again."

"This property is a great home that brings your vacation to the doorstep of the Porcupine Mountains! It had plenty of room, a lot of amenities, a great game room, and a very responsive and helpful host. We would stay again any time we wanted to vacation to the area! The hot tub is well maintained and a great way to relax after a long day hiking, or a day in the chilly water of lake superior!"

"On a normal day, I would harp about the dated rooms and property. But here's the thing - The room was surprisingly clean, the location is nothing short of perfect, and the price (comparatively) reasonable. On top of that, renovations are underway. And what I saw looked great! Hopefully the place remains affordable. In the meantime, enjoy an actual key (you know, the old-style metal key with room tag attached), a clean room, the absolutely amazing views, and don't expect too much from the breakfast bar. A little bit of a mixed bag, but I can't wait to stay here again!"

Don’t miss having a cup out on the deck, because great coffee in the middle of the wilderness is a rare treat.Everything was spotless and well cared for, and communication was easy throughout. We’d happily stay here again and have already recommended it to friends. Five stars without hesitation."

"This location was awesome. Literally steps from the beach. The only drawback is that the 3rd bedroom listed is almost unusable because it’s in a dark corner of the basement. I LOVED the top level bedroom and bathroom. The basement bedroom was the only surprise of our stay."
