To be honest, I wasn't expecting a huge amount as I know this is usually a student hall of residence. It was perfect for what we were looking for to be honest as we were there for our daughter's graduation. I think my biggest disappointment was that the communal areas seemed to be air conditioned (or at least were very cool) yet entering the room was like entering an oven.. so we had to leave the window open overnight which unfortunately meant we were woken really early by the building works happening next to us. Other than that, the room was fine, bed comfortable enough. I really liked the breakfast and, as I said, the location was perfect for our daughters graduation, although I think it is a bit out of town for the rest of Exeter.
