So we check in a little early, which was awesome that they allowed us to do that. We get in our room, drop a bag, and leave. I made SURE to put the do not disturb on our door. We got home and people had been in our room. They took it upon themselves to open up the couch bed, which was nice yes, but when you are used to hotels, it freaks me out that they were in there unannounced, especially when I put the do not disturb sign on the door. In the morning we signed up for an 830am breakfast. There was a menu in the room so we were all ready for waffles and vermont syrup. We walk downstairs and just stand there, not knowing where to go or what to do, as it was our first time there. We get told to sit down and that we are the only table of 3, so to just go to the table for 3. We do that, and food starts coming out. No one told us it was chefs choice. Now the food was GREAT yes, but it was a little confusing. The innkeeper was doing it all herself, she was short staffed and seemed very overwhelmed. We felt like a burden. I wasn't even able to check out properly I just left my key on a table. Which is fine, it just felt weird because I am used to having printed out proof etc...... we heard weird footsteps in the night as well, very very weird vibes. It was clean, yes it was a place to crash. But the experience felt weird. Other guests were so so nice though!!! I would give it 3-4 stars out of 5. :) I do feel bad that the innkeeper was short staffed.
