Small but perfectly formed

We spent 4 nights at Vespers and absolutely loved it. Very comfortable and with everything you might need or want, even for a longer stay. The hut is very private and the views from the verandah were great; very peaceful and very picturesque. Its a fantastic area and well set up for visiting the rest of the Cotswolds. We really liked Blakes Kitchen and The Double Red Duke in nearby Clanfield. Would certainly recommend and would be happy to go back.

Beautiful setting

What a wonderful setting to stay in, our dog loved it as the garden is fully enclosed so we could let her out and explore the garden. The shepherds hut had everything you would need for a holiday. A microwave, hob and all the utensils and condiments you would need. We got there and it had a bottle of wine, tea, coffee and some milk. The wildlife was amazing, hares, owls, rabbits. The list goes on. A picnic area at the side of the Thames was a great spot to watch the boats go bye. Overall a wonderful stay in Vespers!!!

Stay with daughter and our dog Teddy

My daughter and myself plus our cockapoo Teddy, stayed in the beautiful shepherds hut which has been well thought out.It and warm and bed so comfy with lovely touches on arrival wine and muffins.Teddy had lots of lovely space to play in including the fields which were wet and boggy but a dog's joy,Because it was in March we did not see another person during our stay and so peaceful. We were able to visit the Cotswold wildlife Zoo which was dog friendly a great day out, and had a meal at the local pub the swan on Mother's day. It will be great to see it in the warmer months when we can barbecue down by the river. A lovely stay

Really enjoyed our stay at Vespers. Lovely sheppards hut. Great views down to the Thames. Lovely walks on the Thames as well. Good pub The Plough at Kelmscott & The Trout Inn at Tadpole Bridge. Very peaceful.

Beautiful Shepherds Hut

A beautiful shepherds hut with gorgeous views and walks. Our only negative feedback would be the cleanliness of the hut, when we arrived there was lots of cobwebs and spiders in the hut and even where we sleep. Overall was a lovely few days to get away to the countryside.

Accomadation & Location - Both Perfect!

The Sheppards hut is small but 'perfectly formed' and attention to detail is everywhere. The interior has been fitted out beautifully, optimum use of all the space and it feels so welcoming & cosy. The kitchen area is well equipped & lovely to arrive to milk, butter, bread (& wine!), plus all the basics such as salt & pepper, sugar are provided - really thoughtful. Location is stunning & easy to visit other villages, walks etc from there. Such a great place to be with a dog too & great to have the enclosed garden. For a small holiday let, it takes a lot of beating and 10/10 for just getting it right. Thank you for a lovely few days.

Near perfect

Beautiful setting. Great venue with everything you could possibly need for a stay away from home. Loved the fenced off garden do our dog could run around. My son really appreciated the barn with table football and table tennis. A great pub just up the road and easy access to a load of touristy adventures.(we hired a boat and went up river for a couple of hours). If I’m nitpicking, the Wi-Fi was unusable. If you advertise Wi-Fi then it should be provided with a strong enough signal to use. Luckily I’d downloaded a couple of films onto my laptop prior to the stay as I’ve experienced this before. Other than that we had a blast and would happily return.

Location not what we expected

The hut is lovely but the bed is a very small double. No good if you’re over 5foot 5. We paid for a week but left after 3 nights as the location is not what we expected . The description say views towards the river Thames but no river to be seen and there is no riverside walk near by. The walk to the nearest pub is through a cow pat infested field . The hot water disunity work in the bathroom . I advised the manager but was told it’s okay if we have hot water in the kitchen sink . I do like to wash my face/ brush teeth in the bathroom though

Idyllic Stay

Beautiful stay in Vespers! It’s equip with everything you could need for a hideaway weekend yet close enough to walk to beautiful countryside pubs or drive into Burford/Oxford. Would highly recommend and stay again! Thank you! Also, using Stay Cotswolds was easy and would again recommend.

Loved it!

Vespers is a really great place to stay with everything you need. The decoration and layout is perfect, the treats left by the hosts were so appreciated too and made you feel at home. It's in a great location and we loved being able to walk to the nearby pub and explore the countryside. The lorry by the river is a really cool idea and we enjoyed a change of scenery with some games and drinks by the firepit. We had a great time and it was made even more special by the fact we got engaged! We'll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone- thank you.

Perfect for Couple with Dog ;-)

Second time we've stayed at Vespers, my wife and I plus our 11 year old Springer. Fantastic location with fields for early morning dog walks and all along the Thames for longer river walks. Pub near by but would recommend the longer walk to The Plough at Radstock for lunch outside on a sunny day. The Hut itself is compact, good use of space and has now had the veranda extended down the long side as well as the front so giving a much larger decking area. Since the last time we were there they've also added two sun loungers, some tasteful planters and a bbq so you've got all the essentials provided! Would definitely recommend for a short break and sure we'll be back again soon!
