It sleeps up to nine guests across four flexible bedrooms, with two bathrooms, welcoming living and dining spaces, and a small enclosed outdoor area to the rear. You are just a short walk from Filey’s coble landing, the beach, and the town centre.

May Cottage is an entire, multi-level cottage with stairs, reflecting its traditional fisherman’s cottage design. Guests have exclusive use of the whole home, including all indoor rooms and the rear outdoor space.

Location
May Cottage sits in Filey, a traditional North Yorkshire seaside town that’s easy to enjoy on foot. Nearby, Filey’s coble landing is a well-known slipway down to the beach, often with seasonal stalls and a lively atmosphere in warmer months. For a classic Filey stroll, head towards the Crescent Gardens for sea views and the bandstand, then continue exploring along the seafront.

If you enjoy coastal walks and wildlife-spotting, Filey Brigg and Filey Country Park offer dramatic views and fascinating geology, with plenty to discover along the shoreline. The hosts also love spending time at the beach, exploring the rock pools on Filey Brigg in all weathers, sampling local restaurants, and seeking out the area’s much-loved fish and chips, waffles, and doughnuts.

Getting around

-Bus: East Yorkshire service 12 runs between Bridlington and Scarborough via Filey
-Train: Filey station connects on regional routes (check timings before travel)
-Airports by car (approximate): Leeds Bradford (around 71 miles / typically about 1 hour 40 mins), Humberside (often around 1 hour 15 mins), Newcastle (around 2 hours), depending on traffic

Booking policy
Full payment is due 30 days before arrival and will be automatically charged to the card on file.
If payment fails, it must be completed within 24 hours or the booking will be cancelled.
Early payment is allowed; card fees up to 3 percent are non-refundable if cancelled.
Guests are not required to pay a damage deposit in advance. However, we reserve the right to charge up to two hundred pounds per stay to the card on file in the event of any damage.

Full refund if cancelled 30 or more days before arrival.
Fifty percent refund if cancelled fourteen to thirty days before arrival.
