Cottage in a prime location on the enchanting island of IVÖ

The adventure begins as soon as you board Skåne’s only road ferry in the small community of Barum on the mainland to travel to Ivö. The ferry ride itself takes about 6 minutes, is free, and runs around the clock.

Upon arrival on the island, Ivö Camping is located right next to the ferry terminal. Here you’ll find access to various activities and services, such as a kiosk and food stands, a store, a restaurant and pub, entertainment, swimming areas, docks, a playground, bocce courts, mini-golf, boat and bike rentals, and more.

Our cottage, which includes a 5,000-square-meter privately owned lot, is located on the other side of the property line from the campground, about 100 meters from the lake. From the property, you can walk through our own secret passageway through the campground, down to the lakeshore, and on to a child-friendly swimming beach with docks (and all the other activities at the campground).

The cottage itself is painted red with white corners. Outside the entrance is a large covered patio with a long table—the perfect spot to gather for meals throughout the day and for evening get-togethers.
Inside the cabin, there is a bedroom with a sofa bed that sleeps two. There is also a walk-through room equipped with a clever bed cabinet containing a fold-down bed that sleeps two.

If additional sleeping space is needed, there are 2 mattresses available to lay out on the floor, preferably in the living room.

In addition, there is a newly renovated kitchen, a living/family room with a fireplace, and a bathroom with a large shower. The cabin itself is small and cozy, measuring approximately 55 square meters.

In addition to renting the cottage, you can also rent our wonderful glamping tent, which is furnished with some seating for socializing. There are also a few inflatable mattresses available in case you’d like to spend the night. This is an absolute favorite activity among the kids—trust us!

On the 5,000-square-meter property, there’s also space available to rent for one or a couple of RVs or trailers—for example, if you’d like to vacation with friends or family. However, there is no access to water or electricity at these parking spots.

Bedding, small and large towels in the bathroom, and housekeeping are not included but can be provided for an additional fee.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the standard kitchen appliances. However, there is no dishwasher.
